I think I'll echo the inventory concept post a few times here.
I don't mind if it's not strictly inventory space but certainly just smarter inventory space would be awesome. If I could stack / sort everything neatly so I don't have to remember I accidently put dye on two different retainers, if you could craft without having to organize out first.. etc. You can check where stuff is with a simple search and it's nice they gave us those tools, but now I feel compelled to search for every item before I put it away lol. If things were a bit more visual I might be more fine, like if you've a house in a game that you can store stuff in, I'll put stuff in their logical locations but my retainers aren't named "wood and stuff" "stuff and meat" etc.. XD. Also they can run out of space so wood and stuff might be holding stone and stuff. @_@ lol.
Like in certain spots perhaps you're hooked up to your retainer AND the market board, allowing you to use all your inventory to pull resources and make up for missing resources by purchasing off the market, all without having to stand up and down like a goofy dance. That'd be pretty cool- imo. In Witcher 3, can't remember if it was a mod I installed or not, but I was able to purchase items I needed for making my potions while making my potions when I was at shops- and it was a HUGE QoL. Menu diving, unless they're hyper immersive menus meant to be part of the game 'play', isn't that fun and less is more (usually lol).
Condensing certain tokens (like some old areas have tokens for different parts of the body.. at this point just make it one token lol), etc.
If a more modern glamour log is not possible perhaps consider something akin to the aetherforge / cystal library I suggested (which is just similar to FFXI's locker system but easier for players to manage). Tl;dr concept being you collect gear from a given area (say shiva) and then you can optionally turn that gear into 'shiva' essence (which may be used in crafts but also for the glamour library) after you collect X shiva essence you can permanently unlock ALL the glamour for that content and future essence can be traded in for another item (working as a sort of safety net for those unlucky people, the conversion can be 2:1 or something so it's still nice to get lucky but it's fine if you don't ). Since you just store items (essence) and then a simple yes / no for an entire content you can have a significantly larger library of glamours for the same amount of data that our current system takes (rather than 400 slots maybe you've 100 slots, for weird random stuff or if you don't want to finish a collection, and 150 complete content collections that makes up over thousands of gear).
In general I do okay with my inventory, but I see some of these other games occasionally make a new feature (like crafting storage) and I'm like... "oooooo" lol.. More so on the glamour log though which you've got a few games with multi-thousand storage and FFXIV sounds like if we add anymore it'll explode (I believe SE in that it was hard / is hard, just kind of funny to make the comparison - and part of the reason I hope they're getting their 5 year plus dev time for their new mmo in sooner than later OR planning to 'cataclysm' / rework some of their systems).
