I’m hoping for a rework of summoner. It’s time. I think the carbuncles should be made cosmetic only that run around with us in cities and use in gpose and such. Currently summoner does great damage but it’s all over the place. There is not synergy with its abilities at all. Make us actual summoners. Enough with these egis. When we summoned our first Demi summon the egis should of been history. Give us the Demi rotation we been asking for. You can do it SE. Fingers crossed.
I have a ton of wishes, but will just list the most important ones:
01. Game code upgrade or revamp. It's probably unlikely, but this would benefit almost all areas of the game, especially pve encounters made with more creative mechanics other than the same old "telegraph memorization";
02. While I don't expect Blue Mage to be a mainstream job due to the nature of the beast, I really want that their "endgame" could be revised to be more interesting or compelling, and not a thing that dies out in a couple of weeks as everyone get their stuff done. And that this be a learning experience for future Limited Jobs.
03. Housing revamped. For starters, we need individual instanced houses, even if they coexist with what we have right now. The current method of acquisiton is overly punitive and exclusivist to the point of promoting unhealthy gameplay. And regarding the actual housing mechanics, we NEED the vertical axis to be implemented. Everyone and their dogs already glitch-float furniture. That being an actual command would simply make the whole process much less frustrating.
04. Glamour classification being a separate thing, and all items in the game being branded FOR GLAM PURPOSES as either just DoW or DoM. The only exception being the Job relics, as they are iconic enough to hold up that limitation. Keep unlocking more gendered sets as well. I saw on Reddit a while ago a dataminer posting that are way more gender unlocked sets, but not all of them available to players. My only guess is that Squeenix is releasing them on drops or something like that, to keep up the hype.
05. Better chat interface. The way the chat auto-scrolls when you trying to scroll up is extremely annoying.
06. Explorer mode was spot on a nice feature for gpose. Let us have more now! 8-man instances... 24-man instances! How cool would be to be able to go there with most of your FC for a photo session!... I would go even further and let us swap the dummy target to one of the instance's enemies!
07. More moogle minions! I'm surprised due to the iconic nature of moogles we don't have more variations!

One thing I would love to be a toggable option is that they would bring back the job icons on name plates

A crafting bag. I weep with envy over ESO and its neat and tidy craftbag inventory system.
I think if there is a limited job in the expansion then I’d like them to go crazy with it. BLU has good content imo but the actual playstyle is very similar to everything else.
If you’re going to do say chemist as limited job, give a completely off the wall mix mechanic and just don’t care about balance too much because it can’t do normal content.
They could use limited jobs to make some jobs that are actually unique and fun to play rather than have to worry about ‘balance’ all the time.
-Wow type glam tab that is preferably limitless, but primarily that has previews of each glam without having to right click and go into try outfit, it gets very messy if you are bad at keeping track of your items like me.
-Limitless crafting bag - I'll gladly pay an increased sub for it, but I'm not willing to pay for retainers because again, I'm a very bad person at keeping track of my items and items gone to the retainers either go to the market board or are lost forever.
-Being able to apply different glams to the same piece of gear based on job - or a lot more glam plates.
-Some tolerable way of solo-leveling tanks/healers for those that want to see the story, but are too anxious for either role in group content.
-MSQ roulette gone and adding a trust system for the story, also adding trust system to more abandoned group content such as Bozja castrum.
-Hrothgar variety, including hair separated from faces, hats, and if no hats, a lot more faces. Viera hats, opposite genders for both.
-A way to allow limited classes to participate in end game, in some limited way. (only allowing them to load a specific set of skills for queuing comes to mind?)
-Butts for both genders.
Id be 100% happy with:Just a few feature/systems I'd like to see Implemented/updated as we move towards 6.0.
1. New job(s)
- healer and caster to start rounding out the number of non-restricted jobs in each category to 4. If we only get 1 new job my vote goes to healer, we haven't gotten one since HW. but enough about jobs.
2. A "Glamour Log" in line with the Gathering logs. While I feel the dresser was a step in the right direction this system could be improved on. The main idea behind having this as a log rather than a pile of unused weapons/armor would be to eliminate duplicate entries. Some thoughts on how it could work.
- To keep the market for glamour prisms alive, adding an appearance to the log costs 1 prism just as it does to add the same item to our glamour dresser. Something I personally would like to see is that if a relic weapon's appearance is added to the log then all previous appearances are unlocked as well (I'm personally a fan of the base SAM and RDM resistance weapons and retaining that appearance option would be nice).3. More glamour plates. If the trend of the last 2 expansions continues we will have 19 jobs. I'm sure there's more than a few out there who will want more plates.
- Items that share a mesh and texture (ie. Ravel keeper's earrings of ___) can be consolidated to cut down redundant entries. Perhaps a check box for if you've acquired the Fending, Aiming, Striking, etc. versions of that item or separate the log into categories the same way the new poetics vendors are. Alternatively, drop the 'of ___' part and just have the entry be "Ravel Keeper's Earrings." Whatever is easiest to pull off in the codebase.
- The glamour dresser, and cast glamour action, now reference appearances recorded in the log. In order to deal with the huge number of items, filter options by role or compatibility (meets ilvl/class restrictions) would be a major QoL feature on the user's end.
4. Expanded trust system. If Trusts are replacing squadron missions I'd like to see the system expanded into 6.0 and potentially back into 4.0. We have squadrons to cover up until 60 and trusts from 71+, but the NPC parties have a gap in 61-70. I'm personally a fan of the no-pressure alternative to learning mechanics.
5. And lastly, Performance mode for DNC. I know there is/was supposed to be a revamp of this system altogether, I'm hoping DNC gets added in with the revamp.
-1 new healer
-Male viera and female hrotgar
-Better glam
Nothing else I'd ask for tbh
Housing districts being invaded by monsters and having to fight them off to prevent the destruction of houses and indoor/outdoor furnishings.
No idea what to do about the glamour market because space limits do encourage a second hand market, but at the same time the older materials go through these phases of existing and not existing depending on how alive the game is, so maybe the WoW glamour book is the only option that really works long term.
I think the balance between savage content and how complex classes are to master needs to be looked at. Right now it can get really boring to run the same job over and over because of the simplification, but at the same time you need that mastery to really optimize for the savage fights and especially ultimate.
The ability to "flip" bindings on the hot bar, I believe vertical bars go from top to bottom 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. I've found that when you start to optimize the bars, the controls that spawn for events are bound in such a way that they assume default layout, which means for my layout I end up with controls in really bad places. This became a super big issue in PvP when using vehicles as well as somewhat an issue in the Sapphire weapon battle.
Despite the community complaints, it looks like Eureka was done right and Bazja was done wrong in terms of long term activity during an expansion. I'd say when we move to the next expansion, that is the time to move the grind to the outside world and not just the instance. Otherwise the instance dies too quickly and people can get stuck, like with Castrum right now. They're only hope is probably when the 5.5 patch or whatever gets people back into bazja.
Crafting and gathering needs to get a bit of a makeover. Treating all the crafts the same is definitely not the answer as woodworking to make a piece of furniture should require more effort than cooking smoked chicken or making tinctures, which are primarily for combat content. Also day 1 savage content shouldn't be forcing savage raiders to have to craft an entire set of gear and then overmeld every patch. I just got into this and realized "holy crap, these guys are serious when they say they need to take PTO to make this work." To try and race for the world first clears, you literally have to be an omni crafter, get the gil to penta-meld like crazy, and then bulldoze the entire tier in about a span of one to two weeks. I think adding a week before releasing the savage tier is good for peoples real life health as a temp solution, since at least that gives them time to farm materials to make the new raid gear.
Actually, the other option that would work for raiding is to make the crafted gear the same iLvL as the final set you get from the last raid tier and just scale down the numerical factors a tad to match on the first half of the tier.
