    See Chemist is what a lot of people are thinking for the next healer(myself included), but we can't deny that SE has been known to throw some curve balls with jobs in the past, namely GNB(i mean, okay it was totally requested or at least a gunblade user class) point is, they dont necessarily have to make a traditional job, we just sort of expect it. GNB pretty much proved they could take a couple character concepts and make it a working tank job. So i dont know, maybe they'll toss some strange whip user or something. Not really sure what they would present us, but i think the argument for what would the chemist/ or another healer bring to the table that the other 3 do not, i mean GNB there you go. Did it bring anything new in the grand scheme of things? I dont really think so, at least not in the current expansion, besides different gameplay. So i dunno. we can go by whats been sort of teased: Beastmaster,Geomancer, Apothecary(chemist), and know for sure Necromancy is a thing(highly unlikely) in game lore, can't think of anything else that comes to mind about possible teasing/referencing in story/side quests.
    as far as what i think classically has potential to fit in this game some sort of way?

    some darkness based healer
    Magitek Knight(thought gunbreaker was gonna be titled this before reveal so very unlikely all this would be is a rider class which i do not see happening)

    If not a Necromancer, then a darkness based caster of some other flavour would make sense. There is at least a partial association with time magic and darkness (Gaia, Nabriales), so they could perhaps make something out of Time Mage, especially if it focused its "time" based spells on the DOTs themselves, and perhaps single-target (rather than mass) haste buffs.

    At this point, it's about the only job addition they could make that would excite me much, I suppose.

    My bet would be on chemist and either a maiming or scouting job.
    I would really like to see mystic/runic knight, I just hope it won't use hammers.

    Healer I would bet all my coins on Chemist... Apothecary sounds better and won't overlap with alCHEMIST, lol.

    The dpser... Hm. I don't bet a lot on yet another melee physical dps, since there are 4 of them already, so...
    - Mystic Knight, melee magic caster, but I'd love a better name for the job - uses a scimitar;
    - Geomancer, a ranged dps caster utilizing the elements we see in Swallow's compass - Uses a mace/hammer and bell;

    If they don't manage to fix pet AI and responsiveness, I highly doubt that we'll see Beastmaster as anything but a Limited Job;

    I am definitely going to say based off the Shadowbringer content, we will more than likely have a Time Mage, but I do not see them as a healer, more like a casting type. I like there was a lot of time magic in Shadow. I wish they introduced the Time Mage then. However, I do see that as a playable class. And making skills to increase enemy vulnerability, casting curse and doom on mass pulls, decreasing defense and stopping and slowing time. That would be a fun class in my opinion. And it would have ranged attacks like Break.

    The only other class I may see in the Next expansion aside from Time Mage is another Healer. I don't know how that would shape given I personally feel as playing as all 3 healers, that the healers are really balanced. Given the content, I do not really see a melee healer as a viable option given the content we have at this level. They may be good for lower level content, but then like the expert dungeon if we build the healer like a DPS it may still may not be enough to withstand attacks at close range. I am not ruling it out just my thoughts on it.

    magic dps, something like talisman? you know that onmyoji stuff thingy, SB is already japan centric so onmyoji like profession is pretty much easy to put in FF14
    Now that is somthing that I didn't think of for a Healer. I think to me personally as someone who plays as a healer be a better option then a melee healer.

    Also I know that physical ranged DPS is unlikely. But there are so many range weapons we could have. I also do not see personally a whip as a ranged weapon. Mainly because of the way now animations are set up. We seen it done before but the graphics and mechanics were 2 dimensional. Now a whip to me seems impractical to hand to a Physical Ranged DPS. I can see however.

    Slingshot (With the right tools an upgrades this is possible)
    Boomerang
    Dice
    Playing Cards (Astro uses cards to play, this is not the same concept here. This is strictly for damage purposes)
    Musical Instruments (This one is kind of far fetched because Bard would need to be reworked for this to happen)
    Throwing Stars.

    I would put my money on a Boomerang or Dice before going the whip direction.
