I like nowdays crafting because it's more beginner friendly, easier to figure out, and doesn't require me to spend all my time trying to craft what I need. I do not want to be the best crafter, I just like to relax, creating some things or meditatively gathering materials for crafting. It's good that this process has become more understandable and enjoyable now.

They recently said they changed it to be easier to start, but now going to add back the complicated high end crafting stuff. great!

The only difficutly changes mentioned at least during the last live letter was making expert recipes harder. They are also making adjustments to lesser use crafting actions.
