What does any of that have to do with my post? I wasn't raising a world merger argument. I was saying that your statements regarding Selbinas supposed superiority (and/or another world's alleged inferiority) is not "server pride", but rather a particularly jackass-y brand of "server elitism".

Okay, my fault. So your argument as to why we shouldn't be allowed to merge servers before allowing transfers (allowing people like me to stay on the same server I started with), is that I'm a jackass from Selbina.

Now let's say I put on a fake mustache (or shave my mustache I guess since that would just look stupid to load a fake one on there), do you have an actual on topic response to why we shouldn't be allowed merges if we are getting transfers too?

The only thing about this is from what I understand, it only takes peak JP playtimes into consideration. So for example, my server Rabanastre for whatever reason has a low JP population and a higher NA population. I'm sure there are other servers like this.

selbina have a high JP hour and low NA so ya same thing here diff hours give diff amount of players

You don't know what server you are going to end up on though. You might be able to avoid the "official RP server", but you have no added choice under their current plan. They have just deprived those of us who want to stay with our server that choice.

I was talking about your suggestion, it can still tear communities appart, what if they took your suggestion but you whole server was filled with assholes that keep mpkin you, stealing claims undercutting all your things on the wards etc etc, would you want to stay then? What about your friends, they may decide to stay, then your little community is torn apart.

I think they should specify what timezone as in World 1 (Eastern), World 2 (Western). I would hate to go to a server and find out all gamers on that server are from the other side of the world.

Role players and non-roleplayers just dont get on, I personaly hate them lol, and im not the only one. Let them have their own little freaky server and good riddence.

I just said that. -_- So many discussions going on.

Cut the "recommended" time zones; if you're going to segregate, make it official. Not forced, but make it so a new player knows that he's picking a time zone for East Asia before he's level 20 from soloing.

However, I don't like segregated servers. I've always loved having international servers in XI and XIV.

No time zones, they are international servers, and always should be. Whatever server you go on you will have people to play at all times.

The difference is that I would be on a server with others from Selbina who I enjoy playing with. So even if there was a bad element from whatever hellhole server you are referring to, at least I had that community still which I have become attached to.

It is a pointless hypothetical though, because what if server #3 or whichever you choose ends up the same, you will face the same thing. They should at least give us a chance of sticking together as a community for those who want it, it doesn't hurt anything.
