Oh no! I may have to make new friends? How horrible. I guess people shouldn't be inactive.

Most LS's will stay together if they have a one LS rule. To those that have 2 or 3 LS's I suggest talk to the leaders and let them all decide on the same world. That way, you all can be together again.
Chances are, if you are not in the same LS you are not that close of a friend anyways.
There will be exceptions, of course, but people are making too big of a deal out of this for some reason.
It is just a game after all...

Well, the Selbina I play on has a ton of English players in the EU, but the French players are fewer and seem to cluster together. I party with them frequently (yesterday morning, actually), but they are the most isolated--the ones that "get out" are, naturally, the bilingual ones. I have yet to encounter anyone that speaks German besides someone in my LS that's trying to learn. The EU "prime," however, is rather full. As a college student, I can't say that I keep the same hours two days in a row, and there is only a tiny window that lacks players, which is normally around 12:00-15:00 UCT (not exact times, but just a rough estimate). That's really the only time I've ever seen a party have to give up, or taken the time to make food while I'm in a party. Then again, that's just my experience, and whenever I'm on XIV, I'm normally doing something outside of Ul'dah.
I wanna leave the server fight {Over There}.

Are we REALLY having arguments over which soon-to-be non-existent server is the best?

Upside, Big lead time so people can talk it out and decide what arbitrary number world there migrating to so they can continue playing together. I am kind of happy that there keeping server names out of the equation until the dust settles. I doubt that there will be any heated debate on what number is better. Granted there is a strong argument for 3....
Downside, Inactives have a high chance of coming back and being on a server where they know nobody. I would guess that there planting inactives due to some behind the scenes system stuff.
I think it would be absolutely nifty if they allowed those auto assigned a free world transfer ticket(s) redeemable with in a month or so of there return. Not to mention there will be multiple cases where some players will simply not be able to put in there transfer apps.

Lets do that then, wasnt trying to start another one, I was replying to a post that made me assume there wasnt as much of an international playerbase, but enough with that lets leave this thread for rages nowWell, the Selbina I play on has a ton of English players in the EU, but the French players are fewer and seem to cluster together. Unlimited character transfers (Can I have it?)
That'd be a fine idea. It'd take care of my only gripe.Upside, Big lead time so people can talk it out and decide what arbitrary number world there migrating to so they can continue playing together.
