Is this a troll thread?
Honestly, as much as I like the HP universe, J.K doesn't even write that well.

Sure... and Yoshida can also retcon story or character elements via Twitter... you know.. for lore

Nah, I'd rather they get George RR Martin. That way we can get some meaningful deaths AND it will delay Winds of Winter another decade!![]()

I use to love the harry potter books and read them as a kid. But even back then I knew bad writing when I saw it and those books were filled with them. If anyone needs examples I can give four off the top of my head just from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone" alone:

But since they sold well I guess this style just works for her series of books. So to each their own.
- Harry and Ginny’s relationship.
- Hermione and Ron's relationship.
- Dumbledore always being either an incompetent good guy or he’s just a straight up bad guy.
- Voldemort is pretty much an idiot in the grand scheme of things.
- Ron being useless after Book 1.
Yeah, I never said there was no skilled British or American writers. Just that I don't want them touching this game because it will turn into just another generic fantasy MMO. Overall, the writing in this game is head and shoulders above other western MMOs in my opinion. And you mentioning 5.3 while leaving out the entirety of Shadowbringers is odd to me.There's plenty of skilled British and American writers, though. It's not like the writers for FFXIV don't lean on generic and cliche tropes that are lacking in depth. Just look at the utter lack of meaningful, lasting consequences for the protagonists in 5.3 - compared to how ARR and HW had many consequences to deal with and things did not always wrap up in a neat little bow.

Why do you still post? Now I have to hunt down all your posts and report them and tell you as such.Harry Potter is a part of the fantasy genre, so it wouldn’t be that outlandish to have its author co-write some parts in Final Fantasy XIV. Doesn’t have to be anything big (this isn’t Harry Potter), but some English influence could be interesting for the game. Less catgirls, more schooling!

I'd advise against that, as false reports are taken as harassment. By all means report anything that explicitly breaks the rules - but not things that can be taken as an innocent suggestion.
