It's very simple. Blanket world merges suck, and the method we're getting lets us choose where we want to go. It doesn't benefit people who don't play, but why should SE cater to people who don't pay or even play the game?

Your missing the point, so i'm gonna quote myself from earlier in the thread, maybe you missed it.

I am in Linkshell A. Linkshell A decide to go to server 1.

Friends 1-10 are in linkshell A too. They come to server 1. Yaaay.

Friends 11-30 are in Linkshells B, C and D.

Linkshells B, C and D all scatter to servers 4, 5 and 6.

It is highly unlikely everyone I know and care about are going to be able to act in social cohesion. Everyone has different vested interests. SE could move us ALL together (with the exceptions of people that did want to move away to another server and should still have that option.).

Then you weren't as closely knit as you supposed. I see no issue here, other than your overestimation of camaraderie among your LS mates.
