I don't think Yoshi hates his job, he obviously just has very little concern for in-game communities. Like you. Some us in the human race genuinely enjoy doing things with others and form this thing called connections which we don't necessarily want to see be discarded with no good reason.

I guess you wouldn't understand any of that, because you can just force your 2-3 friends or linkshell to come with (and if they don't, or if they aren't playing right now well "screw them they don't mean anything to you anyways". Did I get your perspective about right?

There is a month until the server transfer, in what way is it a done deal?

They can just merge the servers and THEN give transfers (they are already doing it in multiple phases) and it would solve all of our problems. What possible reason do you have for trolling those who dont' want to see their communities destroyed like this?

Au contraire... these forums are made especially for feedback and we've seen the devs base many decisions off our comments. The posts in opposition to the method are working to achieve something, whether they get it or not. You're not even making a counterpoint, saying why they should do it this way. There are a few people making a fuss, but most everyone else doesn't give a rat's ass either way. It's obvious they chose this method because it's easy and are going to continue devoting resources toward 2.0 instead of irrelevant world merges for an overall population smaller than ONE of WoW's high pop servers.

But if you'd like, I'd be happy to give you a "told ya so" after they go ahead with this.

If we don't, then we at least tried. Was writing these posts really such a burden that I will forever hate myself if we don't succeed? Nope. In fact, I even gained a little bit of insight about what groups this merge is helping. I still don't think they outweigh the losses, but hey.
