I'm not against the normal mergers.

If you have dozens and dozens of friends you couldn't dare playing FFXIV without until World Transfers arrive, add them to your facebook, skype, msn, hotmail, phone book, and/or cellphone. You could even write their mailing address down on a piece of paper and mail them a note w/ recent server merge information. You could even fly/drive/walk to their front door AND TELL THEM TO REACTIVATE FOR A MONTH AND PICK THE SAME WORLD SERVER THAT YOU AND YOUR LINKSHELL IS.

Right because when it comes to doing that, or simply merging servers and then allowing transfers for people like you who want them, that is so much easier.

I guess my only response to that is that I don't enforce my will on people who are my friends, but that doesn't make them less important to me. I'd still like to play with them, and if we had a merger I'd get to do that. You'd also still get to transfer away from all the people on your servers who I'm sure can't stand you at this point.
