I would take a green dps over a curespammer or someone who stands around doing nothing when there's nothing to heal.

Well then stop trying to encourage such by telling people to not dps, that's how we get people sitting the corner spamming cure I/physik/benefic I every other dungeon like is the case now, or is at least in my experience, may just be that SB leveling dungeons are cursed on Crystal.

Who's telling anyone not to dps? The point of balance is a healer utilizing both as appropriate. The problem with a green dps is they dps to the detriment of the health of their party. The problem with curespammers is they have windows where it's safe to dps but choose not to use them. A balanced healer does both. They support the health of their party so their party can confidently do their jobs in the party, but assist the party with dps when the fight or party performance doesn't require healing.

Tying a mount to being a healer is just going to attract people to the role who only want the mount but don't actually want to be good healers. And people already look down on and doubt us enough as is.

I havent noticed the role being topfilled with awesome tanks...

There certainly is an abundance of tanks that are performing...below average, not even counting that ones that can't do the most basic things needed to do as a tank.


We have no idea whether or not they're only playing tank for the mount but it had no visibly positive effect on either the amount of tanks or their performance and we can expect the same to happen with healers.
