Squeenix just put a $7 emote in the store.
It's like they're trying to make my point for me.

The main point was that the DLC is expensive when compared to other DLC and nothing you have said negates that. As for what SE knows or thinks from its sales data, no one here has the faintest idea. Plenty of companies are too stubborn to drop prices for a variety of reasons, even if sales aren't great. I gave a number of specific examples and reasons why this can be the case in a previous post.If someone says "This is overpriced" but then buys it, what they have told SE or any company is "This isn't overpriced" Even if they contacted the compay and then said "This is overpriced!" The company looks and sees they bought it and then thinks "So I guess we change nothing."
*snip*
I mean in this situation, why would they? The shop is obviously doing fine or they'd have to adjust, that fact they haven't means most are either:
A: Happy with the prices.
B: Indifferent to the prices.
C: Not happy but accepting of the prices
D: Unhappy and dislike the prices but decide to buy anyway.
From SE's perspective the store is fine, do I think some things could be cheaper? Sure, but I find the prices acceptable, obviously enough share that sentiment or really like doing to opposite of what they feel.
People saying something is over-priced means it is over-priced (if it is over-priced). Which Mog Station DLC is. So...do you get that?
Buying something over-priced is not telling the market that it is fairly priced at all. That makes no sense. Plenty of people buy things they think are over-priced for one reason or another. You are trying to tell people what they think again and having no more luck than last time.
When you start dictating to people what they mean when they've told you otherwise, your 'opinions' mean nothing. And you haven't posted a single fact I can remember. All you're doing is posting the same copy and paste reality denials you've been doing for the last 10-15 pages.
Buying something you think is over-priced doesn't in any way mean you really think it's fairly priced just because you bought it. No matter how many times you want it to be true.
And saying you can't find any cheaper quality DLC anywhere on the web and demanding I find some for you highlights your selective vision, not my selective comprehension. I'm pretty sure if I offered you £1,000,000 to find 3 pieces of DLC on Steam or PSN that are cheaper or better value for money than that which you'd find on the Mog Station site, you wouldn't have any trouble at all finding them.
Comparisons don't have to be in competition to be valid at all. Just because a restaurant in country 1 doesn't dictate the prices at a restaurant in country 2, doesn't mean you can't compare the 2.It's not about comparing non-identical things, but about comparing non-competing things. You can compare any two things all you want, but the comparison is useless if they're not competing with each other. I can compare the price of the local restaurant with the price of a restaurant in another country and it would be equally useless. The price of the restaurant in that other country is not going to dictate the price of the local restaurant as they're not competing with each other..
People do it all the time. Millions of people go on holiday to various countries, then compare things like restaurants when deciding where to go for a future holiday.
Like Krotoan, you just keep posting the same untrue things over and over and over, even when there are millions of real world examples to show that what you are saying just isn't true.
I understood what you said perfectly. However you wrote a huge amount of text that overall says very little. You need to learn brevity. I'm not seriously going to reply to every line in a wall of rambling contradictions, when 99% of what you say has already been responded to earlier in the thread. Please be more considerate.
You already came out with the sensible comment in your previous post when you said it's better to sell lots of cheaper things than a few expensive things, especially with something like DLC. SE would make a lot more if they slashed prices, especially on old DLC that has made its money back many times over already.

You have yet to specify what you consider given your vast experience, a reasonable price would be.
you continue to post the same evasions time and again.
please, for brevity, try posting pertinant information for your position, which you have thus far failed to do in any form.
you ask others to be more considerate, yet fail to follow what you yourself ask for.
So you admit there is no competition and you also admit this won't make you quit the game. Thus, you can make all the comparisons you want, but it's irrelevant for SE given what you've admitted. As long as there is enough people buying what they're selling, any comparison that you think is valid is only valid for you.Comparisons don't have to be in competition to be valid at all. Just because a restaurant in country 1 doesn't dictate the prices at a restaurant in country 2, doesn't mean you can't compare the 2.

Yes, people do buy or pay for over priced things, but typically because there is no choice. Funerals, weddings and in some countries food can be way over priced, but the people selling such goods/services often have customers by the balls.People saying something is over-priced means it is over-priced (if it is over-priced). A completely digital shirt or flying whale is not comparable to such a thing. It’s not even comparable to a required purchase to make a game playable (something like storage space upgrades found in Path or Exile).
...so, yeah, when people fork over 35$ for an imaginary bugaboo mount that offers no edge over any other freely available mount it does indeed tell SE that the customer has that expendable income and that the price was fair enough to be an acceptable exchange. Even if you felt it was expensive, you still bought it. Mission accomplished by SE.
It’s a luxury item, and priced as such.
Honestly, Getting a Pizza costs more than anything on the Mogstore. Last night I got a Large Wombo Combo at Round Table, it cost: (picture)Yes, people do buy or pay for over priced things, but typically because there is no choice. Most expensive thing on the mogstore...(I know the name changed, I liked the old name better)
Mount: Chocobo Carriage (Account-wide) $35.99 USD
So for a few cents more, I can have a 4 person mount account-wide, that's good as long as the game is running, or I can have an excellent pizza for one night split between me and my roommate.
I would say the Mount is by far a cheaper cost. People complaining about SE selling things, would complain if they were selling them for one dollar because they feel entitled to all content created by the dev team.

Edit: BTW, the tip amount is not what the actual tip is, That is the amount that the driver has to pay taxes on, I always give a cash tip on top of a min Credit Card tip. This is so the driver pays as little Tax on tips from me as possible. I think I gave the driver $10. The pizza was piping hot when she got here.
Edit 2: Oh FYI, California (and most states in general) assume %15 of the food cost to be given as a tip, and will tax the driver or wait staff an assumed tip of %15 if there is no CC tip, as the state assumes a cash tip then. They have software designed to automatically do this, so if you always give a cash tip, always include a CC tip of a small amount, the software will assume the small tip was the only tip, and not charge tax on the assumed %15. Now for those who don't pay the tip, the driver or wait staff will still be charged the tax as if you did tip %15. so let's say the meal was $100, (before tax) the state assumes a $15 tax and will charge $7.50 in tax if no CC tip was included. If you don't tip on a $100 meal, you are stealing $7.50 from their next paycheck.
So I always give a terrible CC tip, and then over tip in cash. When I was a kid, my mother worked as wait staff, and when I was 20 something I delivered pizzas before going to college.
