Youre the one failing to understand my overall position. I was addressing the points you provided directly. I was pointing out that you can make more money on a bunch of transactions compared to a few whales, not that you will. You have to find a balance. The goal of a company is going to charge as much as possible before the market says "No Way."

Which is what SE (and most businesses) do. They charge as much as they can get away with. That means if they test out and find that $35 for an item on the mogstation is the pricepoint that gives them the maximum profit, then thats the price point theyll run with. They arrive at that number through market analytics and testing. Meaning thats the number the market will bear before saying no way - aka "The market is dictated by what the consumers will shill out for." To much and they lose potential profit (as per my example) and to little and the investment isnt worth it.

What you were arguing is that it's over priced, 'cause market be damned, and it would generate more profit for SE if they dropped their price points. Which I dont agree with inherently. I dont think things are over priced. I think theyre priced at a point where itll get them near maximum profit without breaking market overall. It boils down to what they think people find it worth. And the price points they give seem to be just that. If they werent making a reasonable profit at it, they would drop the prices. But thats not happening, is it? And I dont think SE is such a stubborn stupid company that they would take a loss on something rather than adjust pricing.
