I'd say there's already plans for Bahamut. There's a gate in Coerthas called "Wyrmking's Perch".

It's not the summons I care about as much as the manner in which they appear. FF8 had by and far the best summons in all FFs combined (FFXI comes as second best). How so you ask? It was the only game that Odin appears unceremoniously into a battle and slaughter the enemy. Gilgamesh takes Odin's place when he get killed and Phoenix appears out of nowhere if you have his item to save your @ss in a battle.
FFXI tried that with Ixion the wandering summon and I wish more ideas come like that. I guess Odin in FFXIV is going to be like that from the description and I wish other summons do the same. (say doom train for example appears out of nowhere to take you to a different realm, the void may haps?)
I think I understand what you're trying to say. Sure it doesn't compare to Eden, Ark or Exodus because it may not look fabulous, but KoTR packs more punch to the damage. I'm sure you know VII is the first Final Fantasy title on the PSX, and at that same time it was considered amazing. Over time SE(Square Soft at the time) got better with the hardware and you get crisper looking graphics that looks more pretty, and with sparkles. That is why Bahamut never really looks the same, but it is still Bahamut. My point was that when it comes to the "pinnacle of summons" (which I take to mean epic-ness as damage in all ff games is dwarfed by FFXIII) Knights of the Round doesn't really compare to Eden, or even Ark, or Exodus. But hey, to each their own
Great that it is popular, all the more reason why it is a good idea to include it in FFXIV.

I wouldnt mind seeing the 3 sisters primal fight..........Lets go all the way back to their original versions too where you had to kill them in specific orders in order to prevent them from uber buffinf/raising/curing each other!

Magus Sister Thev ^^
Gotta be Shiva! Just sayin'...
Bahamut would be my main choice, but I would like to see Tonberry King!
I'd want Bahamut, Cerberus, Odin, Omega and Ultima. Even if they don't make them into summons, I want to slay those bitches in 14.
KotR does 129,987 damage max, FFXIII attacks can reach 999,999 in a single hit. So raw damage is not really an argument for inclusion.I think I understand what you're trying to say. As far as graphics, I find FFVII's Neo Bahamut to be a far more stylish implementation of the Wyrmking than the interpretations found in FFX or even FFXIII. Art direction is much more important than graphic power.
SE has gone overboard in trying to squeeze every last drop of money out of FFVII. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is tired of it.
That's not to say that the KotR concept couldn't be used again in a different way. Replace them with redesigned Ark Angels and you have my vote~
Of course, it becomes a new summon then.. which is a bonus as well.![]()
