    True, it was an opinion.

I posted it in response to this opinion:

My point was that when it comes to the "pinnacle of summons" (which I take to mean epic-ness as damage in all ff games is dwarfed by FFXIII) Knights of the Round doesn't really compare to Eden, or even Ark, or Exodus. But hey, to each their own

By the way, FFVII isn't just the where KtoR was last seen, its also where KotR was only seen.

The only substantial argument for KotR's inclusion over any other recent ultimate summon is that FFVII needs special consideration due to it's popularity. I'm not in favor of repeating ultimate summons for the reasons I stated earlier.

Also, we've got Materia from FFVII. I would rather we draw from other FF titles first before we go back to milking that cow again.

I think I understand what you're trying to say. Sure it doesn't compare to Eden, Ark or Exodus because it may not look fabulous, but KoTR packs more punch to the damage. I'm sure you know VII is the first Final Fantasy title on the PSX, and at that same time it was considered amazing. Over time SE(Square Soft at the time) got better with the hardware and you get crisper looking graphics that looks more pretty, and with sparkles. That is why Bahamut never really looks the same, but it is still Bahamut.

Great that it is popular, all the more reason why it is a good idea to include it in FFXIV.

KotR does 129,987 damage max, FFXIII attacks can reach 999,999 in a single hit. So raw damage is not really an argument for inclusion.

As far as graphics, I find FFVII's Neo Bahamut to be a far more stylish implementation of the Wyrmking than the interpretations found in FFX or even FFXIII. Art direction is much more important than graphic power.

SE has gone overboard in trying to squeeze every last drop of money out of FFVII. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is tired of it.

That's not to say that the KotR concept couldn't be used again in a different way. Replace them with redesigned Ark Angels and you have my vote~

Of course, it becomes a new summon then.. which is a bonus as well.

I'd love to see Siren, Phoenix and Carbuncle. :3

First of all, you need a certain accessory to break the 9999DMG limit in FFXIII. Secondly hardware power helps a lot in the art direction, as far as details go.

That is like comparing Bahamut with Leviathan, change the skin and call them different names. No thanks.

Lets agree on that and call it a day.
