Legionary Visor is the one I was referencing. I like it a lot but not having lenses in them makes them fall short. Another good one is the Caster Unicorn pvp head piece which actually does have the lenses.

I hate text because tone isn't read and text alone makes it seem like I'm being an ass. I just worded my reply wrong it seems. I just meant that alot of crossover ideas aren't that out of wack.. not really. XIV's lore and whatnot is pretty anime and wacky as it can get. Omega is a key example. I'm not saying I WANT a Fornite crossover mind you. But if they ever did one then with all the things we already have it wouldn't be that out of place. Not really I think. The key difference is that we did not "get Gundam". We got a unique-to-FFXIV giant robot paying tribute to Gundam. A tribute is not a crossover.
I would much sooner see an Eorzea-specific superhero parody than a direct insertion of highly recognisable pop-culture icons into the game.

For me, the out-of-placeness isn't about whether the technology matches what exists (or can be explained as plausible) within the game world. It is the inherent nature of it being a crossover - seeing a thing and recognising it as belonging to another franchise outside of FFXIV. They look out of place because they specifically, recognisably belong to another story.I hate text because tone isn't read and text alone makes it seem like I'm being an ass. I love Marvel, I love FFXIV, I don't want Marvel in FFXIV o-o
There really doesn't need to be a crossover just because Square Enix made it.
I know that the Nier raids set a precedent for shoehorning any old thing into this game no matter how little sense it makes, but can we not make a habit out of it?

Just because we already lost some of the battles does not mean that we have to lay down and take it all. (And before its taken the wrong way, I am not saying that its bad to wish for it. But that I really hope that such things stay out of the game. FF14 has an identity crisis already by getting so much from other FF games.)Not a good enough reason sadly. We have already goone away from anything that " fits ". That stop being a thing a long time ago. We literally have super giant robots in the game. We can legit do a crossover with mega man and it'll fit just due to that alone.
I just want kool items and moves at this point.

The game's identity is fine. It's people who have to get over their hang-up from things being originally from other games.Just because we already lost some of the battles does not mean that we have to lay down and take it all. Not to mention the GARO/XIV collab
I have that piece and ironically I omit the mask part. But I wanted to point out that the Last Unicorn gear is an Aiming set, not Casting
