Well they hand everything else to you in this game, guess HQing should too. Where can I find the npc to get my Excalibur for just talking to him?Considering even SE stated HQing is pretty much difficult who wouldn't? Easier mechanics = less annoyances. You could be well into the HQ range using all HQ items and never HQ it.
When you understand the system it's not "hard", it's tied too much to the RNG which is what they're changing essentially.
If we wait until we see it, our opinions may not ever be heard. This isn't going to stop the 10000's of pointless spamming of crafting that many people want. The reason I make this thread is not to be bashed, but to have a discussion on this, and get more clarification from the Devs.
So lets have a discussion, not a bashing. If you don't agree, post why and the reasons you feel it should be that way. And if you do agree, feel free to comment also. We need more constructive criticism in this game, not bashing because you disagree.
um...we arent bashing you, we are pointing out you dont even understand what you are reading, as seems to be the case with a ton of people right now with this announcementIf we wait until we see it, our opinions may not ever be heard. its pretty black and white but people will of course see what they want to see

Then please clarify EXACTLY what this means to you...
(Example)
When all items are HQ items
Final Quality will be between 800–1,000 (odds of producing an HQ item range from 50% to 100%).
When all items are normal items
Final Quality will be between 300–600 (odds of producing an HQ item range from 0% to 10%).
it means that when you use all nq mats, you will probably finish with 300-600 quality
when you use all hq mats, you will rpobably finish with 800-1000 thus increasing your hq chances
with clever use of abilities you can probly scew those numbers a ton(and with unstable synths blowing up you can easily get lower then that too i bet)
its not saying "hq mats give you this, nq give you this" its giving you the estimated range you will probably finish with IF you are trying to get higher quality
in the end it equates to 1 huge factor, using hq materials will actualy greatly increase your chance to hq an item!

They are just removing random generated numers and making HQ items actually worth something, yo people are over complicating this and are not taking into consideration that the higher the quality the harder the synthesis becomes
Ok maybe I'm confused, by why split the 2 into 2 different categories...
Why not list it as...
If you finish with 600 quality, you will have 10% chance of HQ, 800 = 50% and 1000 = 100% chance.
That is what you are saying, but the way they posted this, doesn't make me think what you are saying.
they arent splitting it into 2 catagoriesm they are giving you examples of what an hq synth may finish at vs an nq synth!Ok maybe I'm confused, by why split the 2 into 2 different categories...

since what this patch is doing is increasing quality on hq and chance to hq with hq mats
