I agree but I feel like the engine/character model limitations are a thing too - no real hair physics, most long hairstyles are... Not the greatest, lots of clipping issues that we need to just ignore for greater good of the game it feels like.
Barret's hairstyle if a VII Remake crossover event happens tho. Also his outfit.
Just give me barret godsdamnit. I wanna hug the man.
