Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

You're heading for disappointment. I highly doubt they're adding male viera with the next expansion.

You never know....but real talk, how crushed will everyone be if that happens..

Even if it's from HW - they can still base it off that. So, it can be a bearing on male viera today. Just because it was concept art from HW doesn't mean they will just toss it out. No one really knows. I'm just awaiting fanfest to actually see if they present the male Viera that everyone wants and the female Hrothgar that is basically non-existent next to male viera in terms of support.

Personally, I dont think for a Playable race they would just recycle old art. If you'r bringing back an old idea/concept, you would update and or start from scratch to reapproch the idea and improve on it. Especally on one from... 6 or so years ago.
And Im pretty sure Female Hrothgar have just as much support, saying its non-existent just because their thread didn't blow up in the controversy with over a thousand pages doesn't mean it lacks support and would be overlooked.

I'm saying they could base it off it. Meaning they can improve on it but still use it as a template. This went over your head. As for female Hrothgar - I....ok. So if were going to be technical here, if you're "sure" female Hrothgar has just as much support as male Viera, where is it shown? Nothing shows the desire of the community and what they want more than Polls and threads like these. And for female Hrothgar, it's very little compared to male Viera hence why i said it's basically non-existent. There is support for them - I'm just saying compared to the obvious more demand of the community, female hrothgar is an ant while male viera is a giant.

That's because almost everyone has been in agreement on how Hrothgals would look like, which won't be [or shouldn't be] dainty waifus, whereas bunny boys are a topic for discussion that's been constantly proven to be rather....volatile.

Female Hrothgar are simply a lot more niche and many of those who want them to be added have a habit of aggressively stifling any suggestions contrary to their 'vision'. It just doesn't happen as often as it does in regards to Male Viera because there's a lot less people pushing for Female Hrothgar in the first place.

I know when I played WoW I rarely saw people playing the 'beastly' female races and when I did see them, they'd almost always use the closest thing to 'pretty' that was available. I don't expect it to play out differently if Female Hrothgar were added. Especially since Male Hrothgar aren't as beastly as some of the non-human races in other MMO's.

Especially beastly females have never been too popular. At least not the way people think Hrothgar will be, muscular, tall, etc. Hrothgar also have ronso to directly reference for what they look like. Yeah, they aren't ronso exactly, but they pretty much are. There are a few here and there that cite khajiit, but I highly doubt they would ever look like that.

There just aren't as many people who want, or would play, a big female beast race. Male beast races in general are just a lot more popular. Not to mention people are probably wary of the hrothgar treatment again. Yeah, I, and many others constantly complain about no headgear or hairstyles for viera, but hrothgar can't even change their hair without a fantasia, I should say change their face (one hairstyle). PlUS the no headgear thing.

They are. My use of wording was vague but basically because they're not dainty waifus the general playerbase just has no interest in them, but those that are, are almost unanimously in agreement they should look like female Ronso/Khajiit, so there's nowhere near a debate as with the bunny boys.

I'll be honest, I'd rather not have female Hroth at all than have it being a Miqo'te, but hairier.

I beg to differ, Male Viera won't alone be the reason Female Hrothgar would exist and be playable. Yoshi himself said they just didnt have enough time, or they would have been made. It sure as heck wouldnt make sense to only have a Male Variant of a Beast Race and No Female. A FemHroth honestly would have a better chance being seen since they have a Base they can easily work from, and if we will continue to push that they are Ronso; Have in fact existed In-canon and have been fully illustrated before.

Which has been seen here in the Male Viera Thread as well. Cause hey, everyone has an opinion, and sometimes the Agree/Disagree Ratio will be tilted to one side. It happens.
Some want manly Male Viera, some want cute and shorter Boy Viera. Some Want cute cuddly waifu Beast Girls, others want more Badass Masculine Beast Girls.
Flavor of Opinion, everyone has one. And saying that others opinions are being Stifled just because they arn't agreed on by the majority, is kind of a looking at it like a Sore Loser.
Like I gave my opinion on Male Viera, my opinion isn't popular, but Im not gonna whine if I dont get my way in the end should they be implemented.

And, just saying, WoW has a more Cartoony Art Style, so it caters way more to cute.

That is actually the point that pisses me off here the most about this subject, this "lore" is only canon due from the game they are YET, everything else we goten so far, races, content, everything literally based on every other game was fitted to fit in the lore of FFXIV, this is NOT FFIIX, they can change the lore as they want, yet due there own screwup they use this as excuse, stop kidding yourself with this. For god sake, we got a Nier Automata Raid, they can fit anything in basically, so why not male Viera?

Even makes less sense in the first shard, would any race keep hold on there believes like this if the world literally got doomed and consumed? Why we not see males in the forest there? How do they stay alive as race? Same with Hrotghar, the miners wife was the only one and sadly died so they not have to show her because no model exists. Convenient, right? I call it lazy.

Hrothgar were the literal emergency plan realizing people will be pissed and now we got two problems at once and it only grows, look at helmets here, no one even expects old helmets getting a design for them but what about new ones? You can't introduce a race like this and leave it that way, same with hairs and all, this is outdated a lot and basically old mans choices in deciding what is good for the current generations like politics.

This even reminds me of my first MMO ever, Regnum Online, you had a literal race not able to wear shoes due it had hoofs. Imagine WoW would do such with Tauren, Dranei, etc.

And yes i am aware Yoshi and his team are alone in this, Square is simply a horrible company, wanting to see money without wanting to invest so it can grow for it. Square as company needs ot go to leave Yoshi more free hand and get more moeny from there income they generate.
