We also had quite a few such QTEs in situations where we had to overcome a losing situation (so its honestly kind of predictable and boring to use such a thing there again..). Not a single one of them was that harsh..the fight always continued on and only you died and it was never so stressfull to do it. So there is still no good reason imo to make it that way for that fight.
Eventually I would have figured it out on my own on how deceptive it is. When the bar is nearing the failing point, that's when a single press will immediately (and very noticeably) bounce it up by a lot (compared to before). So as long as you're at least pressing... idunno, 4-8 buttons a second, you should be fine. If on controller, rest it on your lap and have two fingers on left and right and another two on square and circle/triangle. If on keyboard, then A, S, K, L.

It's the final fight of Shadowbringers against a thing that's powered up by... spoiler juice and SE are notorious for cinematic/anime nonsense stuff at this point.
