Tell me then, do you feel the difference between challenging game mechanics and an QTE that causes pain?
There.. are 35 pages, I've looked through about 10 of them. I'm not seeing a whole lot other than you misrepresenting peoples arguments .. either on purpose or accidentally (I don't know you).
I'm guessing somewhere in there someone is calling you disgusting for (possibly) disregarding people with disabilities... .. if you could correct me I'd be appreciative since I'm really not invested enough to re-read the whole thread.
The point everyone is trying to make that you seem to be twisting into: "you're contradicting yourselves", is that the QTE is a bland, uninspired and restrictive way to add difficulty that most don't find difficult and the few that WOULD (I.E. those with actual disabilities and limits on their inputs) find it difficult cannot overcome it in any way. They cannot be carried through it and they are holding back 7 others simply because they cannot mash a button fast enough.
Why is there this sudden all or nothing mechanic in a story gating instance? Why is it purely focused on a mechanical input with no alternatives for those who are physically restricted?
No that was just a weak form of it. I wasn't trying to be extra artful on it. Just making the point that just because he doesn't agree DOESN'T mean he was trolling. Calling him a troll because he doesn't agree is trying to shut him up to be blunt.
I have not seen here a single constructive proposal from him. Not a single argument other than bullying. No really mature assessment of the situation, except "using the disability card for pity", "thread complaining this is a challenge for some people", "tantrum". I don’t know, maybe it’s a language barrier and the person really doesn’t understand what is the difference between a game challenge and difficulties caused by a disability.
But it seems to me that he still understands, otherwise he would not come and devalue someone else's experience again and again, using the method of verbal aggression in order to attract maximum attention to himself and distract others from the discussion of the topic.

To be fair... it does look like people use the " Disability card" so fast here. I have a few myself but I'm not asking SE to change the game for me. I simply find a way to get it done. I don't think everything needs to be adjusted for everything. At the same time there's no harm in asking. But do know that not everyone is going to agree with you. And that isn't trolling.I have not seen here a single constructive proposal from him. Not a single argument other than bullying. Despite the fact that I coped with this QTE myself (with great difficulty, by the way), I see people who do not cope and saying about their pain. Therefore, I am more interested in proposing a compromise. As I said above, just don't kill the whole group if someone hasn't mastered the QTE.
I have nothing against someone's disagreeing. But the form in which this is expressed (ridicule, devaluation, rudeness) looks like verbal aggression.
RajNish, question. When you did the QTE, were you mashing, or casually tapping? Because the latter is 100% completely possible. Again, this QTE is deceptive.
When I tried to just tap I failed it. Had to hit three keys on the keyboard as fast as I can. On several occasions I have come close to failure despite the fact that other QTE's do not cause such problems.
That's weird then, because I can just casually tap on the controller and pass just fine.
