If you hate it, maybe the game isn't worth your money to begin with.Consider the cost of a jump potion. Now consider the cost of a sub. You could spend two months worth of playtime and quit, or spend that same amount while SE gets more of said money if you remained subbed. You could also remained subbed, level the job, and hate it, but there's still a profit to be made.
The financial department has likely meticulously worked this out, it's fine.
I am talking about job skips. And you're waaay too quick to be dismissive.
I hate SAM, and I hate PLD. Am I gonna quit the whole darn game just because I don't like to play 2 jobs out of... what are we even at, 16??
So you don't like SAM and PLD...so why are you paying more money then? It's counterintuitive to pay money for things you don't like.
You have taken my post entirely out of context to be extra defensive.
Good. Job.
Who says I paid for a jump skip for those jobs in the first place?
Then I don't know what your context is. You hate SAM and PLD. Whatever this means I don't know. I would advise you to not spend money on what you hate.
The point of Gula's argument is that they hate leveling but like the rest of the game. In the context of Gula's argument, you're saying that they hate SAM and PLD so they must hate the rest of the game too. However, just like how the game allows you to change your class/job if you hate it, the level skip potion allows people to skip stuff they hate to play stuff they like.
(Also, 90% of the content you've been bringing up isn't skipped by level skip potions)
The housing mechanics in this game for buying your first house are such garbage, I'd gladly drop $30 for a small house. Spamming buttons on the placard all day is the exact opposite of fun. People who already have houses really underrate how bad it is.

It's the same concept. If you don't like progression, maybe RPGs aren't worth your money. Spend your money how you like, but your not getting value from it.The point of Gula's argument is that they hate leveling but like the rest of the game. Or you know, people play this game for different reasons and enjoy different aspects of the game. I myself hardly ever go into dungeons, i will if someone in fc needs to run something, but outside of that you will hardly find me in them.
I use hunt trains to get my tomes for the week. I have more fun in the ex trials and savage and crafting/gathering. Should i quit the game because i dont find the leveling part fun, and much rather jump a job i want to try out in endgame conntent? Also some jobs are just dreadful to level up, but seem fun at max levels. To some of us it is worth it to jump a job up so we can use it in end game with friends instead of slogging through all the levels, should we quit the game?
But would you pay extra for the pleasure to not do dungeons? Would you pay extra to not do hunts? Would you pay extra to not talk to your FC? Would you pay extra to not have a house? How much are you willing to pay to not play the game?Or you know, people play this game for different reasons and enjoy different aspects of the game. Paying extra to not have to do dungeons, sure. The rest no, but I am sure someone would, and that's the thing it is a personal choice. Just because someone doesn't enjoy a certain aspect of the game asnd instead choses to use an option to circumvent that part of the game, an option that SE is giving them, doesn't mean they should quit the game.
Also those examples you listed aren't good examples because you already (with the exception of dungeons) have the option not to do them. Don't like hunts?, just don't do them, don't want to talk to your fc?don't join one or just don't chat in fc chat. Don't want a house? Just don't buy one. But with leveling a job you do have to do it or pay extra to skip that part.
