You can have an opinion on it, but if you just refuse to play the game because of it then okay. It doesn't actually mean anything, guess the game wasn't for you then.
A customer voicing their opinions - good or bad - isn't "dictating" anything. There is a word for what it is, "feedback". By the way, I can't believe people are still talking about Last of Us 2.. I get recommended trash constantly about that game or see it mentioned all the time. The only thing a customer can do is not buy the product, not play the game. Voting with the wallet isn't an attempt to dictate either. If some developer decides to release some garbage, and it doesn't sell, or they want to reach a broader audience, they can look to the feedback to see what they can improve, or change. Still they are the developers, if they have a vision for it and they don't want to compromise, so be it.

Developers are the ones who are entitled if they think they are owed those record breaking sales, high active player numbers, etc. that they can show off to their investors just because they release something, anything. I think if a customer pays for a product, especially a subscription based game, where we are paying for a service, we are in fact entitled to voice our opinions; to give our feedback.
