If I look at the Census from April 2020, Ragnarok has the most active players of all European servers and has around the same or more than most American servers.
Thinking that this is a problem that will only happen on some servers is so delusional lmao
And again like I said earlier, this is not like Feast. Skill doesn't really matter here, someone will eventually post BiS and half macros publicly for crafters, and for gatherers it's a matter of how long you can spend in Diadem for 10 days. It's a grinding contest more than anything else, that requires time and energy.
You had the time and energy to grind for 56h, not everyone has that privilege. So why should the same people who can afford that get the top 12 rewards every season?
Do you not see how there's no proper competition if not everyone who's lvl 80 full BiS + melded + food + pots + crafting/gathering knowledge has the same chances at rankings because they don't have the same amount of time and energy?
They meant that they still had to work (RL work for 7 days straight, 8 hours per day) and do other RL stuff and still had enough time to reach top 12.Thinking that this is a problem that will only happen on some servers is so delusional lmao

And honestly I think people are yet again trying to "scapegoat" bots as a reason to not put enough effort into it and just have SE nerf this (probably by giving out titles to anyone who participates) and lowering the bar so they only have to craft a couple of items to enter the ranking, so they can go back to their MB baron jobs.
True, time is a big factor for your placement, i saw better ideas for this whole system like limiting amout of submitting items were each Item has almost limitless quality.Thinking that this is a problem that will only happen on some servers is so delusional lmao

Yes skill does matter, especialy in crafting. Crafting experts with macro is way too uneffective, you can cleary see the difference between people crafting manualy vs those with macro plus it takes much more materials to get as many points as the manual crafting.

Sorry, i wrongly phrased myself, i worked 7 days for 8 hours full time job. For entire ranking ive spend like 3/4 hours a day max

Oh my bad in that case, "worked" can be interpreted in several ways lol
My point still stands though!
I agree, if their intention truly is to reward hardcore crafters they should have gone for a different system, and a limited amount of deliveries or uncapped quality would work a lot better than the current system (because it's a lot more focused on crafting knowledge with mild RNG). This could work with gatherer collectables as well.
But since they've already announced what the rankings will be like, it's too late to go back, and makes the competition unfair to begin with, but even more unfair if there is motivation for the previous top 12 to compete again by changing the titles, and even more unfair when they had previously said that this wasn't the original plan ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Okay cool, so you only care about an issue as long as it may or may not immediately pertain to you and yours. Glad we established that.Ok, compered to the Behemoth, i can clearly say that Ragnarok was superior competitive wise. Im looking purely at top 12 entrance points. Compared to other servers, even japan ones, with my amount of points i would still be able to stay in top12. True, some server might have harder time getting to top 12, and some easier. But to be honest, i dont care what is happening on other servers, i play on Ragnarok and i care only on ranking there.
'Cuz I don't feel the same way. I dont feel it's right to flip-flop on a semi-competitive stance and just not update the playerbase on if they, the developers, are listening to feedback, especially given Yoshi's initial reaction to how the viewers of the stream reacted upon hearing that he wanted to change the titles for season 2 of IshResto.
And even if they stick with the same titles not everyone will have them..you only get 12 people for each season who can get the title (yes I know there are a couple of crafting jobs but one person can hold the top spot in all of them). Seeing how many people there are and how long it takes for a new season to begin, I doubt it will be something that everyone has.I know the bots exist, and there were few in previous ranking but i feel like all the people using this argument think the that every ranking will be taken by them. No, there wont be that many of bots and no, you dont need to be hardcore to be high in ranking. In fact i worked 7 days straight for 8h a day, i had many things to do in between and i still managed to be top #4 for most of the time, and finished as #7.
And i still think those titles should reward top players( and few bots that will be banned eventualy), not everyone should have them.

I got top 14 (or something like that) in last season. It sucks knowing that they changed the titles and that those who got top 12 before will be allowed to do it again (saying nothing about the bots which will be a pain as well). And as such, I see no reason why I should try and earn these new ones when I don't even have the time to do so now without causing myself harm in more ways than one.
RE: exclusive titles that shouldn't be exclusive (Lighter Than Air, Notorious Monster Slayer, non-Feast titles, seasonal event titles), why not reward them in The Rising events? /think
iirc there was some backlash with the White Raven Earrings and Legacy Warrior Attire, but it makes sense for legacy stuff...?
Bump. I wanna keep this up there so more people come across it if they haven't already and voice opinions. It's still not too late as the patch isnt' out yet. Thanks guys for speaking up thus far.
