The thing people are taking issue with is that they're doubling back on their initial statement about how the rankings would be handled, which led quite a few people to reason "Oh, it'll be easier to get the titles in the second season" and held off on competing, except now it's sounding like they're just gone forever if you didn't get it then.

Yeah equal community when you have bots going into that..there is nothing equal about it. I also dont like such a ranking because it will always just be something for the absolute hardcore crowd. (And even most of them are against it because its way too unhealthy..)

The problem is: SE started this content with the idea that the title wont change to give everyone a chance..dont change things like that..I doubt that it would be possibe to just change the rules so massive in a normal competition too..

Except that sort of ranking system is not what was originally announced to the community. We were told the title would not be changing from ranking period to ranking period, that those who had already received their title would have no reason to do it again. People made decisions based on the original announcement.

Now SE has flipped the table and screwed those people over. That's not right.

No, there wont be that many of bots and no, you dont need to be hardcore to be high in ranking. In fact i worked 7 days straight for 8h a day, i had many things to do in between and i still managed to be top #4 for most of the time, and finished as #7.
And i still think those titles should reward top players( and few bots that will be banned eventualy), not everyone should have them.

Really hoping they address this soon - it's very difficult to be excited for this content.
It's just upsetting to think about right now.

I totally understand people being upset about this sudden change, i would be upset as well.
The thing is that ranking is the only type of "endgame" for crafters right now. I already have my top 12 title, and many of my friend have it as well and we will be competing in next ranking, and it doesnt matter if there is old title or new one.

It's hardly something everyone is going to have, they'll still require a lot of work to get for the foreseeable future

Ok, compered to the Behemoth, i can clearly say that Ragnarok was superior competitive wise. Im looking purely at top 12 entrance points. Compared to other servers, even japan ones, with my amount of points i would still be able to stay in top12. True, some server might have harder time getting to top 12, and some easier. But to be honest, i dont care what is happening on other servers, i play on Ragnarok and i care only on ranking there.
