It's why people complain about dungeons being stupid easy mode as it is. It's why we have hallway dungeons, dumb down classes, and everything else that was nerfed. I don't want the wipe mech to go away, I also don't want the QTE to completely go away with no replacement. It sucks people aren't finishing the trial due to whatever is going on with them. But knowing SE they won't meet in the middle.. they'll just kill everything and make something that's got a tiny bit of bite until a meow and a purr. :c So that's why alot of people are pushing back, it has nothing to do with you but everything to do with how SE handles nerfs.
But the bite is still there? They dont have to take it out completely, just make it like the older ones where only you died...so if for example both the healers mess up its still a wipe. The rest of the trial is still there and can cause wipes. How long is it enjoyable? Would you still like it if you cant clear it at all because one person in the group always messes it up?

I understand where you come from, I absolutely do. I healed Steps of Faith when it was still hard, I don't think I ever had any issues with it. (I still prefer to heal that one, lol). I prefer to do everything on normal too, you know. The way they designed it. That's how I've always done that. Really, I've never complained before. Always found a workaround. (But I am happy with the easy option on solo duties for the days that my body is not cooperating with me).

No you misunderstand or maybe I didn't word it better. But the bite I'm talking about is the wipe mech where we all have to pass the QTE. If one of us fails it's a wipe. That's the bite I'm talking about. I don't want that to go away, I like that this was different then the other QTEs. I say SE should change the QTE to a QCF motion or a DDR thing or something. No other changes needed cause if you take the wipe mech away then it's just a normal easy trial with no bite. And It's just nice to see something that's a bit more punishing then the normal tank and sleep.

And I've already been in parties where it took longer then 40 mins to clear because someone couldn't pass it. It doesn't make me mad honestly. I have ALOT of time on my hands. Plus have you heard the music? I could stay in there all day. For context... I can listen to one song for a year striaght nonstop. I've done this before. Repeats have NEVER got on my nerves.

Honestly.. I really don't think they would do this but if they made the QTE a QCF motion or something and only changed that then I'll be happy. Easier on your hands and I get to keep my punishing mech. That's how I'd done it honestly.

If it's a little more lenient, where it doesn't come down to 2,5 seconds I'm fine with it. The fact that there is so little room for error gives me the most anxiety, really. I can handle the pain if I only need to do the QTE once, or maybe twice. But not multiple times in a row.

Like...just pick two buttons on your controller to mash alternating between them, or two keys with two different fingers.

Legit how are you failing this?

but no, just nerf everything because you failed and you don't like that you didn't win right away and it wasn't easy as pie.

The argument of "It's not interesting" is more compelling, I can reason with that. But anyone who can't do this must be like 60 years old with arthritis or something.

How did y'all play games before that had this kind of thing? Did you just give up and not do it? lol.
It looks like you didn't read this thread well. As Lhunuial and others have said, they have tried to do this many times in different ways. Several people here have tried to solve the problem using different methods, with controller or keyboard. You just say "get good", instead of offering a solution for people who really need help. But it’s impossible to get better if you have spinal disorders, cerebral palsy, contractures, arthritis, lack of coordination after trauma or due cerebral problem, etc. If the "It's not interesting" argument takes precedence over the "I'm in pain" argument for you, I'm sorry about you. And please don't be illiterate, even children may have arthritis.

Just say you think disabled people shouldn't be allowed to play video games, it's less words and the same thing you just said.

I don't have a chronic pain condition, any long-term joint issues, or an RSI, nothing that would directly affect this. Doing this trial more than a couple times a day (helping friends run it their first time after completing it myself) caused a year old healed broken wrist to flare up. It's not engaging gameplay, it's a pure accessibility barrier, and your defense of it is disgusting.

I dunno how it'll feel for you honestly. You mentioned you never played street fighter so I dunno how to explain the timing. I know the timing of the hadoken is abit fast pace but you're not pressing anything. It's literally a half circle motion on your D-pad. So depending on your dpad it can be like running your thumb on a flat table or soft keys. Depends I guess. But I don't think the hadoken timing is too bad. I've seen people who have no buisness doing hadokens and shoryukens doing then nonstop. But that's street fighter and fighting games are way more punishing then anything in this game can hope to be. So even half the speed you need to do a normal QCF I think would be good enough. If they go the DDR route then it should be a little fast to still give people the -oh shit- feeling but not so fast only Sonic fans who do perfect runs can react too.

The D pad? The arrow keys? Like I said, I play on a laptop. So I would have to figure that out first. I have always been a PC gamer. Then again, we don't know what is gonna happen, or if they will even do something about the mechanic so it's pure speculation. All we can basically do is wait and see what will happen.

That makes things difficult. I'd say buy a PS4 controller and see how it feels. You live in a different world man. I've been on consoles since Nintendo, so .... I don't even know. I tried playing Devil may cry 3 on KB and HOW? Like I finished it but THAT hurts my hands. Using a KB for gaming. I dunno how people do it. Controllers are so much more comfy imo.
