For it to be confirmed, the XIV devs/Yoshi-P himself has to say they aren't gonna happen. So far the only thing said about them is what Yoshi-P said a year ago.

The thread was most likely deleted because some people stepped over the line one too many times in that thread recently. That's my theory.

Last I remember it wasn't even really active recently, and when it was it was just the same old arguments over appearance. Unless there was something big that happened and the devs cracked down real quick, it's really like they stealth deleted it. Weird stuff.

The reason why the Viera thread wasn't deleted (the one before they were officially announced) is because the only drama in there was usually me, or others with similar feelings, saying Viera were just humans with rabbit ears, didn't bring anything new to the table, etc (totally called the ears being an issue). Otherwise people were always in agreement on them... unless they were childlike in appearance. That's usually where people were divided. It wasn't a drama pit like the male Viera thread was.

You and I both know that the backlash about the missing genders wasn't about female Hrothgar, it added to the backlash but by the likes alone you'll notice the face of the missing genders request was Male Viera, not female hrothgar.
