RIP Male Viera

So, is the new strategy here to create 2 new Male Viera threads and just try to keep them both on the front page in some weird defiant protest for the deletion of a thread that devolved a long time ago?
Like, there are other things to talk about, we dont need 1 or 2 brand new threads to revive a topic that was already addressed by YoshiP, and likely it will probly just turn into the same old arguing and nonsense in time.

I hadn't been looking at that thread much ever since Hrothgar were announced (all I ever wanted ever since ARR), so I also dunno what happened. Like I'd look in there, say my piece maybe (usually asking for proof of when Yoshi-P/devs ever said/promised X, or saying Viera males should never look like children because that's just weird) and then look elsewhere (either in the forums, or literally elsewhere).

I can only assume that the mods got tired of deleting posts/conversations (I feel that's happened A LOT in that thread because some people got really nasty in their comments) and just resorted to ending the entire thread.

Regardless of whatever policy this forum holds over its threads, I generally don't approve of deleting a thread that garnered nearly 5x the amount of support over the original viera thread, and is the most liked post in the history of these forums. Despite its bads, it had a lot of pros. I don't think I've seen the community rise up in such determination for something they felt passionate about. Whether its against male viera, for it, ambivalent, general genderlocks, discussion of SE resource management, I mean the topic of male viera spanned upon countless topics that made some of us question just what SE does with their time and money and also made us questions ourselves on what we truly wanted out of this game. Despite the bad, it was a thread that made me realize what I truly was looking for when it came to character customization.

Prune what isn't conducive, lock the thread. But to outright delete it ? Well, let's just hope they're moving the thread. If not, such a mild censor is quite a look for SE.

They did clean the thread.... too many times. If people don't want threads deleted then they shouldn't go off on deep ends with insults and everything else that got it canned. It's fine to disagree but some of the stuff in that thread was .... look M.Bison and Eggman would've questioned it.

To be fair, the moderators did go into the thread periodically in order to clean it up. From time to time, I saw both posts and entire pages vanish due to pruning. I imagine it reached a point where it became too much of a burden to deal with - especially with circular arguments and certain posters repeatedly pushing for a design direction that had already been ruled out by Yoshi-P.

There is not some anti male-viera agenda at play.

This forum is not moderated by SE, but a third party marketing firm and if you guys are arguing politics in a cat-girl anime roleplaying game forum board, don't be suprised if some poor intern at said firm gets tired of deleting all your political rants and decides to simply delete the thread.

If people had just been mature enough to say *yes, i petition for ____!* like, that's all they had to say over & over & I could have seen it getting further acknowledgement instead of "wow, this offends me bc feelings & it's all about me" or "their time & effort could be put into something else" those people could have literally just made a new thread debating- NOT ARGUING- why they thought adding male viera/ fem hrothgar was a bad idea or how the time could be used to maybe add hats to viera/ hrothgar or better the character creator- I'm just listing an example that isn't immature & pretty reasonable.
but it's the forums that is swarmed different opinions that people think should be taken as a fact- which means we can't have nice things - I say the thread got what it deserved bc noone could stay on topic. It is a shame but talk poop, get the boot
