Hi Bobby,

At present, the only quick option to remove silence is to use an item called Throat Drops, which can be purchased with gil, Company seals, or crafted by an alchemist.

When Jobs are implemented, there is an ability slated to remove such enfeebling effects from us.

Silence Resist materia may also contribute to preventing the Silence effect.

But until next patch... mwee hee hee!

If you're use to sto then this should indeed be quite the treat. FFXIV kicks A-Word anyway - who's with may!!!
