I mean it’s a simple way too nerf astro rdps effectively. Makes the opener way more relaxed but on the other hand costs you in a 10 min fight 6 cards with 8 %. All of these cards are up with other raid buff and even the 90 seconds cds are coverd by them. That's all around a pretty heavy nerf.

...Clearly, you haven't looked at the standings at all. WHM+SCH is far, far behind AST+SCH and AST+WHM. AST isn't going anywhere.

We're all going in the trash bin 1 year from now when they delete all healers and everyone gets a personal Alphinaud at this rate ^^;

I might switch to Scholar if this turns out to be the start of the AST card system just dying though. I think it's good that they solved the controller issues, but it feels like they just solved it by giving up..

I mean yes, that was the death of feeling highs and lows, having agency over what to extend and making decisions on what to do with what you had.. And the death of having a mechanic that made every fight feel sort of new because even if the fight's mechanics are the same you might have different tools available but..

This is like them just giving up on a class system that isn't even through its life cycle in an expansion..

As a former Scholar main who still feels kind of attached to the class, I'm not sure 5.x Scholar has anything better to offer.

I started the game on Scholar in Stormblood.. The changes are awful for that class too. I'm really just hoping that there are good fights coming up at least?..

The only thing I don't understand with the current Sleeve draw change is that, now, you 100% need one held Card + Draw ready to have a Divination.

I mean, most of the time, that's what we want anyway, sure, but it makes other changes like AF usable only in combat odd now since you'll need to wait for your AST cards anyway if you hope tou have your divination.

What I'm trying to say is that they reiterated something they purposefully tried to erase with others classes.
