If this game truly listens to it's comunity PLEASE make Viera able to wear head gear!

What I find surprising is that the newly added headpieces aren't modeled for Viera and/or Hrothgar. The huge backlog of pieces I can understand, but you'd think they'd at least make the new stuff ready for all since they're already working on them.

Yeah, that is super annoying. I hoped new items would work at least.

Yeah? Like 70% of anything I can equip clips. Sometimes with itself.

I mean...the developers said they will add more stuff over time for the new races. That was a public statement way before we were able to create Viera and Hrothgar. Now crying about this is like buying icecream with a flavour you hate and then crying about that, was clear before and it's clear now they will do that stuff over time. If you can't deal with that play Miqo'te or any other race.

they always said it would be handles at a later date but it seems like they're always consistently behind on everything that cosmetics is getting the shaft repeatedly.
Considering almost everything new is unusable too they're just making the mountain bigger for themselves by not reducing the backlog at all at regular intervals

if you cant even manage to do the necessary modifications on stuff being currently created... may as well just send fantasias to everyone and remove the races with an apology. Second class citizens in an mmo is some really weird stuff

Naaah, i know that sounds absurd, why would they focus on the maingame instead of on some stuff they said they do later but didn't gave people a date cause maybe they knew it takes time and other stuff is more important.

Absolutely, if my dress can slice a horse in half and 1 of the hairstyles specifically made to fit for, and on, Viera stabs through my collarbone I'm not worried about ear clipping. I'm also not even super against hiding the ears in certain hats, but I can see why they won't go that route as we don't have any other immediately identifying features.

Instead of redesigning all the headgear to fit, just use the existing models for Elezen and let the ears clip through the headgear, or disappear the ears when wearing them. (player choice)

They could tie it to the visor "table" in the database/server. Visor on = hides the ears, Visor off = shows ears clipping through. That would satisfy the people who die if they see clipping and those who understand we're playing Clipping Fantasy XIV.

I don't think that was part of it, at least not at the start. They probably had some chances to add a couple more before the world went to crap but they didn't. Now? Yeah, there's probably no chance if they continue to be 2 months behind for the foreseeable future. Because of current events, I get it. Like someone said though, by NOT adding current items to the list of things Viera/Hrothgar can wear, they are only pushing themselves further behind than they are already.
