1)By playing more you get greater net XP. Did you fail elementary school math or something?

Well, aren't we pretentious for someone who can't do basic math and logic.

Exactly my point, so just reduce the amount of xp to get to reach the next level instead of rebuilding a whole new sytstem to make xp faster.

its not that simple, it has to be balanced just right, or it would be wrong one way or another. just simply lowering EXP would make people level way to fast, doing something like that makes a little more sense.

to be honest i dont mind leveling myself. Just wish there was more content to go along the leveling journey. If they put something like materia growing from low level to high level while using it actively in battle and allowing it to tranfer to other gear. Also skilling up things like evasion and parrying. Then at least its something to focus on through the xping.

I too am irritated at the idea of rested experiance, it seems trashy. Leveling up DoW/DoM jobs is already rediculously easy and people find ways to make it even easier by exploiting it with a power leveler. It seems like SE is trying to make this seem like a good thing by approaching it in a positive manner. "Will help with lag in cities..." So as appose to conjuring up a better solution SE wants to reward people for not playing the game. It's the same idea as fatigue only thier reason for limiting peoples drive to play is due to lag. Honestly, I prefer the old fatigue system if thats the case. Some people may argue that this game should be easy. But! While I can relate to people who work full time, have children or go to school, I don't think that this game should contour to peoples schedules. I hate to single out casual gamers or bring work ethics into a game which is meant to be fun, but it seems like the type of people who agree with this new proposed fatigue system are of like. Sorry if I offended anyone, but I strongly disagree with the idea of free experiance or anything for that matter. I won't be able to enjoy my accomplishments knowing they were just handed to others for free.

Except they aren't? If someone was to rely on rested XP to hit max level, they'd be waiting months upon months to get there. Someone who plays every day will hit max level at a rate that's so much faster it shouldn't even bear stating. This is nothing like a fatigue system, which actually punished you for playing more by *reducing* the amount of XP you gained to abysmal levels.

Also, why the hell should hitting the point where you can now play the core of the game, I.E endgame, be a major accomplishment? It's not making the game easier, it's lightening up a tedious, un-fun element that plagues just about every MMO. Your entire argument not only reeks of misplaced elitism, but also an inability to do basic math. Let your end-game accomplishments speak for you, not how much time you had to mindlessly grind out levels.

Before I start, I'm going to preface this by saying I personally don't think getting to level 50 should be considered an accomplishment, but I understand that a lot of people do. The casual players and people with a lot of life obligations preventing them from dedicating as much time as others to the game will never actually have the "accomplishments" you do. They will in all likelihood never get a primal weapon, or even complete the battle. In the case they do, it will be so outdated as to be laughable by anyone who actually puts stock into these things.

I know it gets people mad that a "badge of honor" is taken from them, but honestly I feel that preserving your pride is not worth keeping an ever growing portion of the player base from experiencing the game in its entirety.

Unfortunately, the current XP curve is so bad, No one experiences the game in it's entirety. What little content is in the game is either skipped or walked through on a level 50 Character. Even if you attempt to do something like Toto-Rak on a level 25, within a mater of minutes someone inevitably switches to a level 50 character.

There is no sense of accomplishment in this game because all it is now is a rush to 50, even for the casuals.

We need to stop granting XP bonuses and start inflicting level caps.

Perhaps a Level Capped Challenge Mode on content that offers more rare Items and Extra Chests?

Guild Wars 2 is doing something like this, and I'm excited for it. A level capped hard mode on dungeons with unique rewards would be awesome, even if the rewards are just cosmetic.
