*whine whine whine whine*When i didnt think this game could get any easier to level and go and do something like this... Like seriously wtf everyone and brother will have every single dow/dom job lvl 50 by 2.0 release. Leveling jobs should be part of the game or an experience, it was in 11. This game is just a boring grind fest in every aspect with no meaning.. leveling jobs 1-50 is just feels so pointless.. Idk i know most people felt 11 was that way but i felt like leveling had so much more meaning. In 11 having good gear actually meant something while leveling. Having the right party setup.. This game is just so easy.. Stick any 8 people with any jobs with any gear and you have a fast as hell exp party. SO stupid, then they add rested experience.
Otherwise the rest of the patch info looks suprisingly decent.
Leveling may be relatively easy but it's still boring and time consuming. Nothing wrong with throwing a bone at those of us who only play a little on work days and rather use our free time on the weekend for raids and LS events.

the system is nothing like Fatigue, what are you talking about.....
Fatigue
Normal EXP >>> virtually nothing
Rested
Bonus EXP >>>> normal EXP
Some of you really need to get a hold of your imaginations.... the rested system will not punish people for "playing to much"
Sorry but it is punshing me for playing to much BECAUSE
1000exp =/= 1001 exp point still stands.
AND BEFORE YOU SAY BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
everyone sees something different. "nothing is true everything is permitted"

Where did SE outline the exact details on how Rested Experience will operate in FFXIV?the system is nothing like Fatigue, what are you talking about.....
Fatigue
Normal EXP >>> virtually nothing
Rested
Bonus EXP >>>> normal EXP

Otherwise you are all shooting the dead horse called "Official Forums Blues"
I find it strange that SE in both ffxiv and ffxi add so much xp on each job to reach the highest level but then always try to come up with ways the reduce your leveling time or increase xp gain. The simple solution is just to have less xp per level and make it smple like 10k each level.

1) *too
2) You're being punished because someone else happens to gain more xp per kill for five minutes because they logged for for X hours, while you stayed logged on for those same hours, gaining exp while they weren't?
3) BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.
While I can see the validity of those with concerns, your argument screams of, "MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY WHY DOES HE GET A NEAT TOY I'M YOUR FAVORITE I SHOULD GET IT INSTEAD."
As someone said earlier, you're apparently an incredibly effective troll, or you spent too much time licking windows while you should've been using your brain and learning rudimentary mathematics. Jury's still out.
I'm allergic to effort.
you fail at math it seems.........
lets see.... lets say that you, being a normal player, would play 4 hours a day for 6 days a week
(just for example)
1000exp per hour would be 24k EXP
now take some one else, only playing 1 hour a day, for the same 6 days
(making the bonus up here)
1100exp her hour (10% bonus) would be 6.6k EXP
now... how is this "punishing" you?
as of right now, I don't need an outline, rested EXP will most likely work like it does in almost every other MMORPG that uses it. If SE says different later, I will examine how they intend to do it and change my opinion if I have to. Till then there is no reason to think other wise.

Oh, Kailea you assume I exp for those 4 hours a day for 6 days a week ^.^ When I probably don't even level up for one week, so yes they will be getting more exp than me because a person whom doesn't play much will want to exp to "catch" up with their friends
1. meh
2. Yep, everyone should gain the same amount of exp, or have the that bonus exp available for everyone(exp ring)
3.Blah blah blah
You know me sooo well, I'm happy you looked intoo my past
Momma always said "A clean window is a happy window, happy windows will bring in more sunlight"
what part of "just for example" did you not understand? I never said I know how you play, I was presenting a simple example of how it most likely will work.Oh, Kailea you assume I exp for those 4 hours a day for 6 days a week ^.^ When I probably don't even level up for one week, so yes they will be getting more exp than me because a person whom doesn't play much will want to exp to "catch" up with their friends

It's really just been them gradually getting with the times with game design. 3 hours of monotonous grinding to get 1/4th your level is just idiocy especially with many more game players being older and having responsibilities. More players enjoy a game more if they can progress at a comfortable rate.I find it strange that SE in both ffxiv and ffxi add so much xp on each job to reach the highest level but then always try to come up with ways the reduce your leveling time or increase xp gain.
