What you need prior to going into 8-man is all of your base kit. That's it. What are the devs going to do every time they release a new expansion? Find some way to cram the next set of skills into level 50 so you have access when you're synced to a lower level? This a complete and utter waste of time and resources.

It would seem many do not understand what kind of work this entails. If you want full access to your skills, then run the content that allows them and stay away from the roulettes. If acquiring your tomes through other means is inconvenient then I suggest you reflect on that when to comes to what is being asked of the devs by this ridiculous request.

It's not really that difficult. All they have to do is stop adding abilities to class quests; give us glamours or something instead if we need a carrot on top of enjoying the story.

Beyond that it's not "harder" to make the level requirement for a new skill 50 instead of 80, 90, whatever...

What I'd like is more crucial skills showing up earlier, but maybe traits at later levels open up functionality, increase effectiveness, reduce CD, etc. That is actually what a lot of traits already do; PLD gets instant spells, for instance. I don't think they have to make all of everyone's kit available at a low level, though they can probably improve the gameplay experience by making stuff that feel super core to the job experience available a little sooner. It's said a lot but The Black Night should show up sooner, but maybe has a longer CD until you get a trait at 70. Little balance levers like that.

lol no, the game has never been healthier and it's popularity shows little sign of abating - least of all due to the mild inconvenience of occasionally having to play 10, maybe 15, minutes of content at a lower level.

Not everyone cares about glamours though. Good start, but we'd need quite a few more kinds of "carrots."
I don't think you'll find a substitute as universally compelling as a flashy capstone skill.

Slightly different situation but ability bloat is one of the reasons I haven’t touched my SCH. I unlocked it at 80 after I was done leveling SMN. I looked with utter horror at my hotbar and the myriad spells and abilities on it, and just noped it out of that job Immediately.

Obviously you can unlock the job earlier but having everything available to you right away is overwhelming.

There is something to be said about slowly earning new abilities and incorporating them into your rotation.

Also, this goes back to my earlier point. If you think the game is too easy now, imagine it with your entire kit unlocked at 50.

I can't say for every job but.. here is 2 different experiences I had leveling SMN / BLM

BLM: So boring I can't take it anymore leveled it to 50 and stop playing all together... I have 4 actual (2 AOE / 2 Single target) skill and 1 proc skill to play with and honestly any other DPS job far more efficient at early level dungeons. Because things I am targeting already dying when complete my spell..
SMN: Somewhat enjoyable even at low level dungeon keeps me busy.

Now people will still say giving more skills at early level make game unbalanced.. but its already unbalanced tbh.
PS: I level other jobs also but.. this 2 example most precise example for definition of boring / enjoyable IMO.

I think having all skills at lv50 would make the subsequent 30 levels feel rather sluggish, the progression would feel empty. People already have plenty of time to learn their jobs, with new skills being added at a pace that allows people to get used to them before the next skill is added.

I DO think, however, that certain skills (or versions of skills) could be made available earlier. GNB for example doesn't get a way to spend its ammo in an AoE until post-lv70 which doesn't feel that great. Perhaps having weaker versions of some skills available earlier would make things feel more fluid.

Was leveling another character with a friend that recently started and I must say I forgot how mind numbing boring DRG and Warrior is at the lower levels. Please SE at the very least give everyone their AoE kit at the lower levels so we can clear lower level content quicker.

I never understood why they decided to not give melee DPS an aoe combo at early levels. Or atleast 1 aoe skill. If dungeons were set up where you get 1 melee and 1 range/caster, then itd be fine. But we all know that doesnt happen. Running Copperbell is a lot different when you have two BLM vs a monk or DRG.

Yes some classes are a lot more boring sub 50, and how the game handles skill distribution is kind of an issue. But again, giving someone new to the game all their skills by lvl 50 is pretty rediculous. Hell, Most MMOs dont follow this path. The only way I can see this being a thing is if they breakdown skills and traits where most if not all your traits are aquired post 50, and all your skills are basic B versions of those skills sub 50. So youll get your "kit" before 50, but the nuance and finalization of that kit only occurs post 50.
