It's not that fact that there are people with low level classes still playing the game. It's about creating opportunity for anyone to play with everyone. A lv 25 might sit around for hours to days looking for other people to join, or give in and get carried through the content by a much higher level.

You can look through these forums and people cry out for options and challenges. Yet, when presented an option to up the challenge people balk at it.

I'm not going to try change your stance on Level Sync. I just want the option to be able to engage in more challenging, dare I say fun gameplay through level sync by matching my higher level to a lower level. If you don't want that option, you can pass on it.

I don't mind the idea of level sync...

In theory, it's a great idea to allow everyone to play together despite their 'real' levels while EVERYONE gains a proportionate amount of experience for it. Many people really benefited from this... ESPECIALLY new players who had just joined. Instead of being greeted with 'dead zones' and feeling forced to level alone, new players were welcomed with open arms from grizzled veterans leveling their next job.

However... in actuality, it wasn't so great.

In FFXI, so many people simply formed low-level parties in Qufim (level 18-25ish zone) and literally continued doing that until they were a very high level. It sort of ruined the fun of 'progression' for me. In XI, there was a pretty clear, defined 'order' of zones from level 20 on. First it was Qufim, then the jungles, etc.

I don't want the beauty of this game and all of its zones to be ruined by the possibility of level sync. Although, it IS a different game and there are NOT nearly as many jobs as there were in XI. It would be harder for people to simply form low level level sync parties and stick with them until they were high level... but, who knows. That's just my fear.

I really wish the reps would enforce this. It's been shown by the reps time and time again that if they have something to say, they'll necro thread themselves. Now stop being annoying.

Hey don't hate on me, I bumped that at 1:13 in the AM PST. By the time Meatdawg or who ever it was pointed the "necro bump" (why is a thread thats been active for the last 3 days all of a sudden become dead?) This thread was already at the bottom of the 2nd page and 12 hours after the fact.

As this seems to be a controversial issue with some of the player base. Shouldn't the topic been read by as many players as possible to provide their input, not burried under a pile of posts that belong under a different fourm section or just pure garbage?

so this here is a pointless post for the most part, but not simple, it bumps the topic all the same. Is it still annoying to you?

Seriously though--you bumped the thread before it was even off of the "New Posts" list for the Engrish forums. And no, it doesn't bother us when you say something that happens to bump a thread because you thought of something relevant to the thread. It bothers people when everyone's done discussing it and someone says "bump" for the sake of bumping.

Why would they? So you can say they are wrong, even if they are right?

    As many people allready said:

Didnt work in FFXI, not needed in FFXIV.

If you feel like you want it, thats your personal opinion. You simply should accept that people are pissed, because Threads like this made SE adding that Crappy Level-Sync again. You are saying PL'ing is worse than Level Sync. Well its simple.. PL-System is allready in the Game and tons of people dont like it and want the old way back. So it is worse yes.. but Level Sync is also worse.. Why replace a crappy System with a "new" crappy System?

You can say whatever you want.. Level Sync was, were and will be a System which will make People lazy and will take away any knowledge of how to play your Class, which you would get during a regular Experience-Grind-Party Curve. ( No.. not talking about PL ).

But it's just not my opinion, there at least 46 other people who share the same opinion as me, and maybe even more that don't have the ability to post on these forums any longer.

For as many people that are pissed that Level Sync is coming to FFXIV (not soon enough in my opinion) there are jsut as many that are pissed it wasn't included or not here currently.

If I recall correctly when XIV launched the level spread didn't matter. a rank 1 could party with a rank 50 and still level up.

When they changed from skill ups on actions to set skill ups they imposed at level restriction for XP bonuses but still allowed a rank 50 to play with a rank 1. Then when they changed from skill points to exp points, they imposed a level difference of +10 to stop the rampant in PT PL that took place.

So it seems that the original intent was for all players to play together, but that got lost in the suffle, over looked or just plain neglected. Most likely they coulnd't figure out how to make it work with the way the servers opperate. Yet it is still a much asked for system, that is optional on a per player basis.

How does it effect you, if you decide that you don't want to take part in a level sync? It doesn't You have other options available. You can go solo, you can go PL, you can go normal grind.

But not having it leaves less options for players who would like to help out lower levels when all they have is higher levels.
