Suggestion - Newsboy!

I don't know about others, but it feels a little lackluster to receive game lore outside of the game. While I like the articles, I think it they would be far more entertaining if they were presented in a more immersive manner, and thus, I propose the newsboy!

Instead of posting the articles on the lodestone, whenever one is written, have a newsboy spawn in the cities shouting the news and handing out papers! He could speak with a /shout effect and talking to him would give you a newspaper in your inventory for you to view at your pleasure, containing the same information and pictures currently used in the lodestone articles.. They may even come to be collector's items later in the game's life, and perhaps they could be stored/displayed and reread in player housing when that becomes available

I'm not really complaining about the current articles, I just thought it was a suggestion worth mentioning

I think dropping the lines between in-game and outside the game is the way to go.
Being able to read the news in an RP manner inside the game or on the Lodestone as we currently can; Being able to manage our linkshell and say a quick 'Hello' to your friends playing while being outside the game; Being able to simply watch other players play the game with invisible random cams flying around live streaming the content or being able to 'spy' on your friends doing raids, Primals, etc. while inside the game; and much much more.

This is a MMO, a lot is going on and sometime it requires some managing. Allowing us to do it inside or outside the game, to our preference, will help the players spend more time where they like it best and is the most fun for them.

Anyway I agree something should be in game, I think it would be pretty epic to have a npc spawn, im not sure about the inventory item. Be nice to take it with you and read anywhere. It can be displayed like journal text is or guildleves, just make sure its as pretty with graphics as the ones on lodestone.

GM NPCs spawn from time to time shouting basically what you describe.

They cannot do it with NPCs because it would require maint to add the text so it would be every day maint, but they could do it with GMs like they already so

If you look at the event NPC's for little ladie's day there is one that gives the backstory on the holiday, so you don't have to get it from Lodestone. Maybe they will be doing that for holidays and the like from now on.

Instead of NPCs, they could just add a newspaper stand in each city. Walk up read the latest article in the Harbor Herald, Raven, or Mythril Eye.

Considering that these articles are written from an NPC perspective already, why not just make their stories accessible within the game?
