Transphobic? That is a reach, I get we are in times of outrage but come on.

I think that when the answer given was "calling a spade a spade" which is "calling a female a female, even if they say they're male" then it's not really so much of one. Lauront is the one who said that's what is being said, I'm just following the logic and applying what it means.
Edit: I'll add, Lauront is more than happy to clear up what they said. But when I read that what I see is "calling X what it is, instead of what it claims it is". Which is the basic logic used by people like that.

One could also take the approach of considering such things to not be that deep in the first place and move on with their lives instead of trying to police the thoughts and opinions of other posters when it comes to complex, nuanced topics that are far removed from the thread's purpose and subject.

That people inadvertently let things slip about their feelings on matters even in topics seemingly unrelated is hardly new though. One could also take the approach of considering such things to not be that deep in the first place and move on with their lives instead of trying to police the thoughts and opinions of other posters when it comes to complex, nuanced topics that are far removed from the thread's purpose and subject.
Edit: I'm also not sure it's really all that complex a subject. And again, using the "calling a spade a spade" in this context really makes it at least questionable. Especially when using it in support of someone making fun of others. It's just a whole lot of possibly innocent but probably not statements and comments.

I think some of you guys really need to lighten up, and stop trying to inject personal politics into everything. None of that was even on my mind when I posted. This mustache is literally a comedy prop.

I think this point it is only questionable if you dig deep into what is being said. This is generally why I just go based off what the person has said and not try to find hidden meaning within their words. That people inadvertently let things slip about their feelings on matters even in topics seemingly unrelated is hardly new though.

Not really looking for any hidden meanings though. *shrugs* Just reading it straight forward.

Actually, the lore itself is stopping people from CURRENTLY playing Male viera. Or rather, it should considering they're never seen and definitely not outside the forest. For RP, claiming that hiding behind the lore as a derogatory statement is utterly hilarious to me. Rp is meant to abide by the world's lore. That's how it works. Now if SE adds them and a reason for them to leave? Sure, by all means have at it. But right now, there's no reason, RP wise, that a Male viera should be standing in the middle of Ul'Dah and dancing like a stripper.
I mean from what I can tell you were the one who brought up the transphobic response. No one else prior to that even brought up the topic. For me reading something straight forward is taking what the person said at face value. You added a political twist then asked for the person to clarify, sure the train of logic follows, but we have no way of knowing that is what they meant and to assume as such based off your own interpretation does not seem fair, especially when framed in such a way where you ask the person to clarify a statement, if it was straight forward then why would the statement need to be clarified.
Though might just be that I am just naive, and try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Just seems like your approach falls along the lines of guilty until proven innocent. Since you are placing the burden on him to clear up any confusion.
