Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Went to sleep shortly after posting that, yes SE has decided to stagger content to try and keep people subbed for longer whether it worked only they know, i just made that list to point out that SB gave more content than HW fact, nothing in SB was 100% recycled there was always new resources going into everything. it is just up to individuals if it was worth what was lost.



They are probably going to take a bit more time looking at feedback (got to be translated as well) so i am willing to wait longer for a response, the longest i'm willing to wait though is until 5.1 by this time if they haven't made a decision it ain't happening in 6.0 and i would like to know why at that stage.



So your upset that people are being upset over something you ain't upset about rather than the things you think people should be upset about, that is subjective to you i'm afraid. People can voice their opinions on anything they want it just happens this is the topic that has seen the most traction by the community. So calm down the devs do not have to cater to anything the community asks it does not harm you that people are voicing concerns on the decision to gender lock and are trying to support unlocking them, ultimately it is up to the devs, we can be grouchy if they decide not to do them but it isn't the end of ffxiv and people would eventually move on and tbh i completely forgot blitzball was even on the table XD I like Pyros/Hydatos in Eureka and never watched JoJo, also i see Hrothgar as a beastly race that doesn't interest me atm but i would not go around saying it was wasted development time nor would i say asking for females is a waste.

Side note Why is it that male Viera gets this kinda flack and not female Hrothgar/Ronso? both threads are just asking for the other side of their respective coins but its the male Viera thread that gets the constant pushback against it

Again didnt even care or read what i said. Care about old content. I love how people are ungrateful no matter what they get. Its understandable that you want male viera. I actually want it too, but whining and calling SE Homophobic is not the answer. LOL it makes me laugh even more and make it not happen because of people acting like clowns and responding that way. I Hope it never happens because when people go SJW I just dont care anymore even if it means I lose out on seeing adorable bunny bishonens. They do indeed cater to people otherwise we wouldnt even have goddamn same sex marriage in the first place. Do no one remember the Pride Parades when it was finally announced and released? I even joined because my cousin is gay and I love him, Im proud of him and Ill always stand by his side, but calling people homophobic and being spiteful because of a decision you were never entitled to in the first place is stupid. No what we are entitled to is GOOD content for gameplay, like Blitzball and not toxic instances like Eureka.

Personally, I really don't like the chest hair. I have a feeling SE is going to add male viera with the fur, though. If they do, I really hope there's an option to remove it completely, or a slider to at least minimize it.

I kinda agree. I like it, but I would want it to be optional. Maybe they can have a chest tuft slider, but also with a yes/no option right above it.

I am SO GLAD YOU DID OH MY GOODNESS. In the second image all those faces are marvelous. The bottom middle is my absolute favorite. White, flowing viera hair in luxurious dreads and braids? SIGN ME THE F*CK UP. The middle top one looks young, the one on the right a more mature viera. The left one is also pleasantly beastly and that'd make them look SO unique!!

Er, you’re probably in the wrong thread bud, literally no one typing in here is bringing up homophobia.

I’d recommend you to go back and read it through, and then return. Most of us in here have practically called the claims of sexism and homophobia ridiculous.
You’re just jumping in here and pinning opinions on us when we’re literally just discussing male Viera, designs and our feedback for Yoshi and co.

I have never been let down by XIV until now. I was planning on playing the entire ex-pac as Male Viera and the disappointing truth is now I can't because Square got cold feet. Lore is the weakest excuse to hide behind that they could possibly have used. Please, please, PLEASE make Males happen!

ok so alot to unpack here
1. I have never EVER called the devs homophobic or sexist DO NOT LUMP ME WITH PEOPLE WHO DO TY so don't bring it up in a reply to me as well ty
2. Its impossible to please everyone period you hate Eureka i like Pyros/Hydatos so why are you allowed to voice when you don't like something(Eureka) but i can't (Gender locks on Viera AND Hrothgar)
