2. I know on Adamantoise which is the server I was on before I moved to Gilgamesh, one player owns quite a few houses there in Goblet, which I think is ludicrous.

I agree. Though they're not technically doing anything wrong and the development team aren't prepared to take a hard stance against such behaviour. That should be very telling in itself. They'll actively ban people for swearing - even though a mature language filter is even built into the game as the default option - but they refuse to step in when it comes to abuse of the housing system.

Probably because it literally says you're not allowed to swear in the terms of service. The filter is there as a sort of shield, but it doesn't mean it negates the rules.

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just pointing that out and obviously people do swear all the time, but as I'm sure you know unless it's reported to SE they don't do anything about it.
