ITS TIME WE GET 50 WARDS-!

More players have joined or returned and for years Square has been heartless towards its player base when it comes to housing. There is no reason to steal homes from people after 45 days other than to simply be jerks and bully the players into never taking a break. Life happens and now that we are in a pandemic lockdown, they take away the timers to lose your home after 45 days of inactivity. Items and costs have been stolen in many instances as well when the person takes a 6-12 month break for deployment. Talking to customer support even over the phone does nothing to help the situation other than wait for 3-6 weeks for email responses notifying you that you are SOL.

As stated...There is no reason to steal homes and hard work, other than to mistreat customers and the time has come that SE should once and for all give the rest of the wards up to 50 so all players have the ability to enjoy the housing system. It will cause more customers to play and earn their homes as well as players to return to a system they lost hope in due to the frustration of losing their home to the gods at SE who felt stealing homes for inactivity was fair.

Bots are winning, profit in real-world occurs by selling plots... this has to end.

More wards = more houses on market = no limit = no reason for time as a factor or botting


no timer due to covid means people who lost houses before would not have now...

None of what they said appears to be directing ire at players, just SE.

More wards would be nice, but SE is kind of weird with adding wards.

1. Does FFXIV need more wards than it currently does? Absolutely!
2. I know on Adamantoise which is the server I was on before I moved to Gilgamesh, one player owns quite a few houses there in Goblet, which I think is ludicrous.
3. Will adding more wards solve the housing situation in FFXIV, no probably not, but it'll help somewhat for a small while.

I agree. Though they're not technically doing anything wrong and the development team aren't prepared to take a hard stance against such behaviour. That should be very telling in itself. They'll actively ban people for swearing - even though a mature language filter is even built into the game as the default option - but they refuse to step in when it comes to abuse of the housing system.

Probably because it literally says you're not allowed to swear in the terms of service. The filter is there as a sort of shield, but it doesn't mean it negates the rules.

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just pointing that out and obviously people do swear all the time, but as I'm sure you know unless it's reported to SE they don't do anything about it.

So the issue of auto demolish still being halted and hundreds of FC homes owned by dead Fcs and inactive alts should be addressed before we bloat the game with more wards. Before auto demolish there were tons of housing options
