Exactly. I can see a lot of ruffled feathers in this thread over the OP’s question, but there’s no denying that this game is very pale. Even the viera npcs have light skin.

We've not been to Meracydia, which is sort of the equivalent of Africa. Eorzea and the Far East appear similar to Europe and East Asia where natives have fair or brown skin, so it makes sense that very dark skinned people are rare.
