He’s clearly a dark skinned Caucasian. Skin color doesn’t tell you what race you are. Your bone structure does and his face is clearly Caucasian.

That's a non-issue in a game with a character creator. People can make all the diversity they want.

I’ve known a Cloud and Lightning and Van with one “a”. Noctis is clearly Latin inspired.

You know what Racially Asians Look like. There isn’t any trap there. Blondish main heroes are in abundance in Final Fantasy. Can’t ignore that.

The amount of cultural normative assumptions here is really funny.

Do you guys really think that an entire country that's very nationalistic and highly isolationist just collectively decided "Hey, we should make the majority of our cast foreigners for our non-real life media." How does that make any emotional sense or even business sense?

You just think they're white because white is the default in your head. I guarantee you nobody in Japan goes "Oh yeah G'raha looks like we stuck cat ears on a Scottish guy."

I think it should be plainly obvious when we went to literally fantasy-Japan and they have the exact same faces as the NPCs in Eorzea.
