Just don't use the roulette and manually select the ones which are still fun because they are not stupid easy yet, if you select multiple duties then they do pop somewhat fast as long as you are not a tank. It's not just that, because if you queue outside roulette for a specific raid that's not CT it's never gonna pop. Because of cheaters, lowering their ilvl, and the mass of people who, even if 80, never bothered unlocking anything but CT because it's just easier to get rewards like that.
I only managed to pop the Ivalice raids I was missing because of the new relic, and because I queued for them right away when it came out. Before that I tried many times for hours. Even if you manage to put together a qualified team, the moment someone withdraws and it finds new member, the new member won't be qualified and the group moves to a different raid.
And with an alt I just now finally unlocked Void Ark, but I know I'll never get to do that and the rest of the chain either. And the least they pop, the least new people will have them unlocked past the first, the more it will keep being CT.
Honestly, I stopped doing alliance raids altogether because even though I'd be so excited to do the other raids, I absolutely can't bare to see anything in CT (now even WoD) anymore. I'd rather cut my hands off.
You're queueing for roulette, and in so doing you are signaling that you are okay with getting any of those raids. If you want something else then queue for that.

Got Orbonne again for tonight's run, and it was noticeably faster to beat it than even last week before the tome event started. Ultima died just at the end of the "dark maze" stage. Seems like people might be actually choosing to run it here.
But im not okay with ppl who load in naked and force everyone to run CT... just bc they are lazy to do harder content. SE needs to fix this!
sometimes you get lucky and everyone is overgeared and know what to do and sometimes you get alliance which is full of new players and get a complete opposite experience, I am personally farming glamour from level 60-70 alliance dungeons currently.

The easiest way to get people to stop cheating the system and forcing level 50s would be to make the rewards dynamic. Why would I risk getting a 45 minute Orbone when I could to a 15 minute LotA instead? If they evened out the rewards, made things like Orbone and Dun Scaith give more exp/tomes, people would be much more likely to put up with the longer dungeons.
OMG thank you! I was getting sick of the Alliance Raid Rewards in terms of experience (not gil) always being the same despite how much time it takes to complete each.
The lvl70 raids are notorious for their time sinks, and the experience isn't worth the trouble because of it.

Its a simple fix. They do it with Main Story they could do it with Alliance and people wouldn't mind running the longer/wipe prone higher duties. Alliance raid roulette xp isn't all that great. I get as much or more from Pixiies. Pixies, Alliance and Main Story give me a full level each day and I'm happy with that for the roles I'm still leveling. Have dragoon, ninja and monk to finish on my main.OMG thank you! I was getting sick of the Alliance Raid Rewards in terms of experience (not gil) always being the same despite how much time it takes to complete each.

It would eliminate a lot of the cheese but frankly I check my party everytime I zone in and it often has 50 level players in it so it's not simply cheese that gives people the 50 level duties.

I keep saying this as well.
The ilvl cheese isn't as effective as people think.
Yes people still do it, but chances are you get a level 50 player in there anyway, and that's what locks you into CT raids, not the guy who queued naked.
They could do something to prevent ilvl cheese, but it won't drastically effect how often you get CT.
Maybe drop it from 80% of the time to 75% of the time.
The best thing they can do is offer dynamic rewards, so that the 20% of the time you do get something other than CT, people are less inclined to leave or vote abandon.
As well as offering incentive to unlock the later raids to begin with. Ivalice is now thankfully required for the new relic quest, so perhaps Mhach could be a requirement for a later feature, perhaps a new raid series in 6.0 or something.

Or maybe the opposite? What makes more sense, someone interested in 70% of the raids in the roulette to queue manually, or someone interested in just 30% of them?
So people who don't wanna do CT should give up roulette rewards?
With this mentality, they should really put CT separately from alliance raids roulette just like msq roulette, as someone else suggested before.
I used to run LotA when it came out. I loved it. It's also probably why I can't stand seeing it so destroyed now, all mechanics ignored and all. I think about how challenging and cool it was and what a depression-fest it is now and I just can't stand it.Im gonna respond to this because it partially applies to me.
When I first did CT 6yrs ago, it left a good long impression on me. Weird as it sounds, every time I go in there, I get all tingly, especially in Syrcus.
I unlocked Void Ark and I was disappointed - that one felt like they just threw it together, basically just making it for the sake of giving HW a raid. I didnt bother unlocking the other raids raids after that, besides all I hear people around here say is that they are just wipe fests.
The Copied Factory - that was new and different and I enjoy running it, and looking forward to rest.
I dont care about time vs. effort, I care that I enjoy doing them. I don't ilvl cheese either. Im sorry(seriously) that when I queue up for alliance roulette, there's only gonna be 4 raids you'll end up in, but the chance of CT is higher with the cheesers. If its any consulation I got CF 3 times last week, one yesterday and I once got it for 5 days. DF still does what it wants, so there's that.
I didn't mean to say all that didn't unlock other raids do it to cheese, but many people do, to their admission. That doesn't apply to you.
There are also people who instead just never got around to doing unlocks, or unlocked the first but never had it pop in roulette so never went on. Recently I unlocked Void Ark on my alt, someone else in FC also did a few days ago so I proposed to run it together. Others from the FC joined, and we ended up with a full group just between us, and half of the people had never unlocked them/didn't know about them and were happy to. We ended up running all three HW raids and it was pretty fun for all. Sadly a lot of people don't even think about unlocking them, and that also adds to the roulette problem. Not for bad will, it just so happens.
But as said, those who don't unlock it cause easier reward are also quite a number, just a separate category.
