However, my workload explodes at some point, and I don't log in to either game for a full week. One of these games offers me multiple incentives for not logging in (exp bonus, a larger 'cap' on content that's available, etc.), while the other offers little to none. Which game do you think I'll be more likely to play?
"OMFG U JUZ WANT EZMOED ASH LOLZ"
Perhaps that's fair. But let me put this in a more...everyday setting. You need to buy something for work/home/whatever. Two stores, across the street from each other, sell the exact same item you need; one has a sale running, the other does not. Which store would you pick? Are you a cheap, dirty little miser because they're giving you an incentive to shop there? Or does it make you fiscally intelligent? After all, all things being equal, why wouldn't you pick the store that's offering the better deal?
Now, the reality of it is, my hypothetical is slightly disingenuous, because there are far more forces at play between picking and choosing your MMO playtime than just whether or not the game gives an exp bonus when you log out at a Mog house. But, please, if you're against the idea of this exp bonus, explain to me why it will do irrevocable damage to the game, in such a way that Guardian Aspects and PLing have not. (Note: contrary to popular belief, saying, "but then scrub casuals will be able to hit level 50!!1!" is not a valid excuse -- scrub casuals hit 50 back during the days of surplus and fatigue, too.)
