Whats wrong with the housing demo timer??

Yes but two days in row there were 0. Its just weird as i cant imagine ppl relocating to ulda as... well its where ppl go so they can relocate in the first place xD

Half of em were in the older wards, but i wonder, are the latest still free for FCs to take?

Hey, if you like neighborhoods, that's cool. I like the idea of it... but only if there were other wards created when one fills up.

I know they've said that it really strains the servers to do it that way. Did housing exist during the first FFXIV? If it did then I could see that being a problem (maybe Ishgard will remedy that, although I'm not holding my breath) since they're using old code.

Neighborhood housing should be changed to be FC only housing and instanced housing should be introduced for individuals. Grandfather in anyone who already owns a plot to avoid butt hurt, but also introduce a property tax mechanic and reduce the timer for demolition to like two weeks for individuals. It's not perfect, but it's probably the best way to move forward without completely demolishing the old housing system.

Or we could not suggest a system to punish homeowners for merely owning a house because of SE's poor decisions.

They are not going to remove personal housing from those who own it. We don't need a property tax or a reduction of the housing timer either. If anything the timer needs to go away and housing should be based on a paying sub period. We also need people to stop trying to devise ways about taking housing away from people who own them.

It's not a punishment and availability is the positive. FC's that require a house to be fully functional would be able to get one. Individuals would get an instanced house instantly upon meeting whatever the requirements are to acquire one.

EDIT: Besides adding instanced housing would be the new personal housing. So everyone would have a house.

Why do people always think about punishing solutions when the current state of art of programming and server technologies allows housing for everyone?

SE just need to make a virtualized neighborood for those who consider it as important and make housing a full instance...
