some of us are anti more inventory for a good reason
some people will never be happy no matter how much they have, and those are the people who are wanting more
give us 5000 spots, and they will still say they want more

Andy - When/where did SE say they intended to bring back HQ +1/2/3? I don't believe that's the case. Perhaps I missed something. If items will continue to be NQ/HQ then combining all the +/1/2/3 would be a big help to inventory issues.
what the difference of me paying for more retainer or paying for more mule?

I smell a new tv show Hoarders: Eorzea.
I personally do not need more inventory space. but I know others are not as strict with there item management. Though I do think they should have a strict limit on active retainers per account in the wards.

I never had a problem with inventory. Only thing I have a problem with is the limiting how many items you can sell on one retainer ;-;.
Only thing they really need to do is create an inventory spot on retainers that allows you to place however many U/U gear as you want, especially seasonal event ones. These things you can't sell or don't want to throw away since you can only get them once.
Don't know what you are smoking, my friend just leveled gold deal to 50, and she didn't run out of space, just just did leves... Maybe thats what you should have done as well... hmm? Or just sell em to an npcTry leveling goldsmith. From level 47-48 is 96,000 at about 500-600 XP per nonstackable ring. I sure as hell aint merching them for 1k a piece when I can sell em for 20K+. I can only sell 30 with 2 retainers, 10 on each retainer and 10 on my character for sell at one time. Not to mention all my supplies I earned as I miner I chose to keep as I leveld so I can also level armorer and blacksmith. all the other rings I have I need to store somewhere untill I sell them or else I am losing money leveling a DoH, and that in my eyes defeats the purpose of having leveled said DoH.

Hopefully, since we're getting inns in the next patch, they'll give us some more storage there.
The retainers are a mess in general, and I'm not certain that the devs themselves still know what exactly to do with them. They announced wards in the 3 cities linking, reducing the number of inventory slots on retainers, that 2.0 screenshot has something that looks like inventory bags (as opposed to inventory list), we're getting separate festival items storages eventually, and there's personal homes coming eventually as well. . .
By now I think they're aware that retainers in general are a bad, or at least a very messy and poorly thought out idea, but are still holding onto that concept cause some big giant head over at SE won't let them get rid of them completely, primarily cause of the potential bonus $$$ they might get if people opt to buy more retainers. The other reason being, there's no easy alternative/ easy fix to storage at the moment. Easiest would be just to increase the number of inventory slots, but as I said, they're moving away from doing that to begin with.
Bottom line being, I hate sorting out my own inventory (which never drops under 150/200 items) as well as my retainers'. Transferring items is a painful and slow process, and so is vending them to NPC. I do need more space but I'm more in need of a user-friendly & fast interface as a whole (but alas, that's coming no sooner than 2.0).

That's not a good reason. Like I said before giving extra inventory space won't affect you negatively in anyway so there's no reason to oppose it. If you don't need it you don't use it. It's like you just don't want other people to be happy.
