Please let us buy more retainers

I believe that SE stated that they were going to delay letting us add retainers to our accounts because they plan to allow the retainers to be shared across characters in 2.0. However, as it is right now, my inventory is quite jammed full of crap and I run out of space all the time. The only reason that I can see as to why we can't have more retainers now would be the retainer limit in the market wards. However, I believe that this could be balanced by only allowing us to place two retainers at a time in the wards.

This kind of seems like a no-brainer to me. It would solve our inventory issues while getting SE more money to develop 2.0.

Please like this post if you would buy more retainers for your main character.

Just out of curiosity, what the hell are you guys hoarding that takes up the majority of 500 inventory slots!? Not to mention 30 extra bazaar slots. I really can't understand this.

I have about 100/200 on my character taken up and one retainer with about 40/150 taken up, the other is completely empty. I have everything I need plus random mats, dark matter (like 15 stacks lol) and other crap I probably don't even need.

I'm not saying no to being able to purchase more retainers. I just can't fathom how someone could use up all of that space o.O

I level up every class, and I make my own gear which I convert to materia. All I'm asking is more retainers for those of us who would use them. Also, I have a lot of seasonal items taking up space too

crafting mats...
materias, catalysts, weapons, event items, On my main char, already 88 spaces taken up by, tanking gear set, mage gear set, DD gear set, crafting gear set (x2 for different lv crafters), tools and weapons for each job, no duplicated. not even count the rings yet. crafting

In fact I have other mule... 1000 spaces finally ok for me to store all these stuffs.
1 retainer for leather, bsm, armorer, weapons, gears from ifrit, moogle or L45 dungeon
1 retainer for weaver, lumbers, food, dye
1 retainer for alchem, <-- easiest but still ~100 items
1 retainer for catalyst, materia <-- most headache one

Try leveling goldsmith. From level 47-48 is 96,000 at about 500-600 XP per nonstackable ring. I sure as hell aint merching them for 1k a piece when I can sell em for 20K+. I can only sell 30 with 2 retainers, 10 on each retainer and 10 on my character for sell at one time. Not to mention all my supplies I earned as I miner I chose to keep as I leveld so I can also level armorer and blacksmith. all the other rings I have I need to store somewhere untill I sell them or else I am losing money leveling a DoH, and that in my eyes defeats the purpose of having leveled said DoH.

The main problem I see here is inventory management. Some people just tend to hold onto everything they'll ever need then complain about lack of inventory. Why not just sell the stuff you know you're not going to use for a while and buy it back later? 500 inventory space is absolutely massive, and unless you're saving a couple hundred materia to make M4/5 gear, then there's no reason anyone should ever run out of space.

Again, I'm not opposing the option to buy more retainers. I'm just saying, in the mean time, learn how to manage your inventory better and don't hold onto crap that you're not going to use in the near future. As far as selling rings in the market wards, you'll be selling them for the next year, most people just npc them.

No offence, but I am not asking you what you believe I should do with my materials. You asked an honest question about what materials we could possibly have, and I answered. I did not ask for you to rebute my reasons for doing what i do. Especially your comment about the selling of the rings, I don't care what other people do. I had 250 each of the goshenite, heliodor, aquamarine, garnet, and peridot rings, (1250 total) ,and I camped my 2 retainers in the wards alot and in 3 days sold 800 of them, ......I sold the rest over a few more days cause I didn't have time to camp the wards. I sold literally several hundered electrum rings just the week before that. So before you pressume to tell me how impossible it is to do so, you might want to stop. just because you can't do it doesn't mean its not possible, or even reasonable for that matter. So I appearently cut your fools assumption of a year down to literally a matter of 2 weeks or less and turned a hell of a profit. I was making 1.5-2 million everytime I went to sleep. Electrum rings sel like hotcakes on my server, they are cheap and prime material to make materia out of, which is what I use the ones I keep for myself for, then I am making alot more per sales slot, banging out 150,00 gill Heaven's Fist ATK. Pow. materia or Hells fist ATL MAG POT+.
