Because I don't have to buy it, don't feel the need to buy it, it doesn't give me an advantage, and there are thousands of free glamours in the game.I really don't get how you can not have issues with a game that forces you to buy it, the expansions and pay a sub to access it and still sell you exclusive glamour in the Cash Shop.
I mean, I really, really don't get it, the outfit is basically the price of a month sub oO
This thread will be more relevant when they start selling savage gear in the Mogstation.
If that happens, it's time to jet folks. Anyone that's played games like Perfect World, etc, knows how that's gonna end.
Yeah it's the new ex trial. Drops coffers for dyeable artifact gear.Never heard of it. That the new extreme? I still haven't done anything new in-game since I resubbed.
People seem to want nothing added to the mogstation, and when something is added there is a complaint thread. Specifically if it is something whichever OP at the time wants. Useless, since the mogstation is already here and people buy the items. It's not going away. "Could be added in-game".. it would never be added in-game, because these were created specifically for the mogstation.
IDC much about the mog station existing as long as they don't start pulling a f2p and putting like, actual gear and boosts and crap in it. Like, mounts that move faster than other mounts or whatever.
I mean some mog outfits do give exp bonuses but ehhh it's like up to level 30 and kinda small so it's odd but probably about as far as I'd like to see them go personally.

Name one game, paid or not, that does not offer unique content available only to the cash shop. Or that locks certain in-game content behind premium services or currencies. The answer is none.
FF14 does not lock its content behind bs bit boxes or currency packs. Nothing you can buy on Mog can or will effect your game experience, beyond Jump Potions for obvious reasons. You can't buy weapons or power ups. More glams are available in the game than Mog Station even sells--I get not everyone can fork out 18 dollars every time Mog puts out new items but not everyone can do the content required for a lot of what exists in-game. I don't see near as much push back on that.
The level of difficulty of the content that would reward such a premium item is one that would would make it unavailable to me if not forever then atleast until the next expansion or even the one after that.
In any case. This will go on sale just like everything always does. You can wait til then to get it or just stew forever over something that is widely accepted practice in the gaming industry and is likely not going to change any time soon. I, for one, am going to shell out cash so I can look like a faerie. You do you.

Just checking out Meoni's video on it and its gorgeous. I would love it for FuSoya here....please SE...let us clip those wings if we want, lol
I feel like OP is the kind of person that gets offended on behalf of other people.
Square would stop doing this kind of stuff if people stopped buying it. I feel that a lot of this blame being directed at Square over the Mog Station should also be directed at the people supporting this kind of thing. And yes, I've done it myself in the past and regret it now. The only thing I feel that should be on there is Fantasia, name change services, and jump/skip potions. Glam and mounts should all be earnable in game imo.
I'm surprised the head gear is visible on Viera!
The criticism is completely legitimate and a lot of people feel the same way. I know I do. Squeenix is double dipping and it's a scummy move. Even if you look past that fact, then there's the fact that they're charging exorbitent prices for these pieces on top of that. That's not even getting into the fact that they are literally selling storage sp...sorry, RENTING storage space!
Just because every company is doing it, doesn't make it right. Nor does it make it an accepted practice, because the only people who accept it are marketing suits and whales. Cash shops are anti-consumer, doubly so when you're already paying a monthly fee just to access the game.Name one game, paid or not, that does not offer unique content available only to the cash shop. Or that locks certain in-game content behind premium services or currencies. The answer is none.

Also, when was the last time the Mogstation had a sale on costume pieces or mounts? I haven't seen one sale on those items since I started playing.

Okay, why is your criticism legitimate and everyone else criticizing you folks of being a bunch of whiners about a non-issue not?The criticism is completely legitimate and a lot of people feel the same way.
