Viera & Hrothgar need access to more helmets/Hats

Who is anyone to say what the game needs or not, that was their opinion. It's up to Square Enix to agree or not.
The corona excuse doesn't fly with me, I'm still paying the same price to access the game; I'm a stakeholder.

The Corona Excuse is a decent enough excuse. Im sure even the Male Viera Group doesn't want to risk the health of SE's employees & Dev team just to get something they want. (I hope) Just because you pay a monthly subscription to earn the ability & privilege to play an online game doesn't mean you can tell SE & crew to risk their health during an Epidemic.

No one is asking them to risk anything. Adding more helmets/hats isn't going to make them contract the virus.
I'm asking them to make decisions that allow them to add hats/helmets to Viera; such as delaying patches and do research into what their competitors are doing in a disaster situation such as this.

But they already have trouble working with the game, even less some ''extra stuff'' because of corona. Yes they aren't in contact with it, but that is why they aren't in the office, but rather working from home. I don't think its reasonable to say corona didn't make things harder for the dev team...

Why is COVID 19 coming up in this thread? I have very tired eyes tonight, so maybe I've missed something, but I don't think anyone said that SE should absolutely be working on this right now while everyone else is being quarantined.

However, it has been almost a year now, and very little progress has been made with Viera & Hroth. It's a bit insulting when new hairstyles that came out with ShB and since then aren't even modeled for those two races. Adding new things to a game are going to take time and effort. I don't understand why some players are OK with the excuse "Oh, well, they warned us they would be limited". That's just bonkers.

Just, that line of dialogue reads pretty weird. Like reading that Black Desert Online is doing an event about catching and slaying runaway werewolves from an ancient lab, followed by a Raid about slaying the Head Werewolf that started it all, will translate into Viera getting more Glamour.

As it is, I would like to have hairstyles first, as it doesn’t say anywhere on the aesthetician styles “Not usable for Viera and Hrothgar”. If new players pick Hrothgar/Viera, spend a lot of Gil/mgp/scrips for the hairstyles, and find they don’t work afterwards, they could get put off the game.

They could learn how South Korea's mmo developers are handling their development cycle to learn and adapt it to their own. Even for single player games they could learn how other japanese game developers are handling their project management cycle and deliverables. All of that affects the decision-making of if and how they could add helmets/hats to female Viera.

Alright for starters there’s no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Next, When Heavensward details came out SE said they would be going back to adjust helms and such for the horns. They just never did. A few complained but in the end most just dealt with the fact their horns will phase through clothing.
It seems every new race they add has gone against the revised design philosophy. You see, back in 1.0 the models of each race were their own and gear was painstakingly modeled to them. Each individual piece of gear had versions that were structurally different fir each race and gender. This of course took absolutely forever. When Yoshida took over this was one of the changes he made to the flow of production. Instead of meaningful gear that could only come out every so often, he wanted gear that could just be scaled automatically to anyone’s body. So some minor tweaks to the player models and now we have the ability to have lacklustre gear coming out with every dungeon, multiple sets from outside dungeons each patch! (No more belts though)

In one way it’s great, we get all this fun gear to wear and every dungeon can at least feel rewarding. But on the other hand you no longer have that polish gear used to have.

With the history lesson out of the way, Au Ra, Viera, and Hrothgar all have no attention to detail in regards to their unique body structure. Very much because their production flow requires it. If it was easy as scaling a pice to the head, they probably would have done that already. Heck, they may just throw their hands up and do exactly that one day. Obviously exceptions exist sand player complaints might get them to make more. But really, other than wanting to actively aggressively correct the spelling of Au Ra, this is just a looooong winded post telling you not to get your hopes up for a day where all gear will suddenly work like it did 7-10 years ago.

That being said I hope you get your wish either way.
