Ultimates I will most likely never do. Probably savage (but never say never, I may do at some point with my fc for funsies).

I don't like having set times for my playtime nor can I always commit to certain times, so that just wouldn't work for others. And I don't like pugs for stuff like that because I also suffer anxiety issues of not wanting to mess up and let people down. I'm a decent player. I always do my best and am always trying to improve - but I am also aware of my own limitations.

Crafting. It feels too much like a job. I play this game to have fun not to do a 2nd job.

I don't think anyone ever immediately remembers all mechanics by only watching a video. You need to practice and experience the instance itself to remember them properly, it won't be as hard as it may seem by only looking at the video.

Nobody clears them on their first try (after watching/reading a guide), usually you will practice phase by phase until you're ready to complete it.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

I'd probably get kicked for dying too many times before I could get near completing it, assuming I could get accepted into a party finder run without some proof that I've successfully run it before. (My FC doesn't do them.)

Any hardcore content (Savage, Extreme, Ultimate, etc) that is current, I really don't enjoy 'pushing' myself and the burden that always comes after a wipe or two when people start looking to point their fingers, so I just don't bother and I'll wait until they're old content so newer gear and higher ilvls can carry pretty much even the worst player through.

Also gathering/crafting, it's just not fun for me and there's no way in hell I'm spending nearly 20$ a month to play a game so I can do something I don't enjoy.

Most forms of PVP (other than the Duel Circle at the Wolves' Den), especially The Feast. I have absolutely zero interest in any form of structured PVP (I did Borderlands Ruins ~ Shatter with my boyfriend once simply because he bugged me enough to try it, but I realized I'm just not cut out for it) so I can quite honestly say that is one thing I will never end up doing.

Really, anything 'end game' related is something that does not interest me either, particularly raiding (I only really do raids long after they've ceased being 'end game' for completion's sake once or so and then never again). I'm quite happy doing things solo or at my own pace - I'm really a casual player these days.

Ultimates, at least until cross-datacenter party/dungeon finder hits.

The struggle of finding 0 people who want to start raids at 9PM pacific is real, and I have waaaay too much invested on coeurl to transfer datacenters.

Voice chat used by my main LS in FFXI had 0 in game related conversation when doing end game content.
Raided world-firsts in EQ and WoW, voice chat was 75% people being silly, 20% someone going "guys, pay attention, doing loot", 4% laughing at the raid leader going down the wrong hallway on accident, and 1% anything relevant to raids, which was entirely in our late night or 10man group.

Voice chat in a majority of content is unnecessary.
